Better than Expected

Service was very good, even as it got crowded. Lots of variety on the menu. Prices reasonable. I had a side of flour tortillas which would have been better sufficiently warmed, but my enchilada was tasty, as were the rice and beans. Would probably stay away from the sopapillas. They weren't puffy... read more

The food is always good and bad the service is superb. There cabbage salsa is the best I've ever eaten. The Muy Special steak is a Choice Rib Eye with Prawns and Mushrooms. Excellent choice as is the Chicken Mole.

Had supper here with kids & grandkids. It was within walking of the Ramada Inn. Friendly staff and good prices.

We stayed at the Bristlecone, and asked for a recommendation. The gal at the hotel named a few places, including La Fiesta. She said everyone comes back raving after following this recommendation. And we are now part of that mass of happy diners! We placed our order for enchiladas deluxe -- Zuisa (chicken enchilada with green sauce and sour cream)... More

Fast friendly service, loved the chicken enchiladas, which came with the traditional rice and retried beans. We were seated immediately.

We were quite disappointed to arrive in Ely on a Sunday afternoon and discover almost all restaurants and shops were closed. We finally stumbled on La Fiesta. The service was quick and the food was freshly prepared. It was too salty for me. However, my husband ordered a dish with the "no-cholesterol" beans which the server highly recommended over the... Yep, you know what your are going to get. The standard American version of Mexican food. Lots of sauce and cheese. Had very runny refried beans and the standard bland rice. Verde Pork was good. Service not terrible. It's Ely, so this is not your worst option.

Great authentic food. Very busy on Sunday after church. The staff does handle the rush very well. The parking area is small

After a quick cruise around Ely I settled on eating at La Fiesta near my motel. Not much good to say about it. Dreary interior atmosphere, very slow service, so-so food and generic margaritas. It's kind of a tired looking place inside. Not worth a return trip.
