As the title suggests, these egg rolls are amazing. They are loaded with ginger, and just are great. The personal dinner combos make ordering easier for smaller crowds. At most places, I like to order different things to try something new. Yet, here I find myself always ordering the Chin Ju chicken, a dish I'm convinced they made up (which... More

Great service, great chinese, great portions, great value, great location... just go! Nothing not to like! Unless you're not a fan of Chinese food. Big room in the back to accomodate larger parties, fyi.

Had dinner with a group of friends and the service was fabulous. Would eat there again, wonderful Chinese food, right off of Main St. (Aultman).

Happy Garden's Chinese Restaurant, 562 Aultman St., Ely NV, tel. 775-289-3313. This is a nicely decorated but a cold space, even with two portable heaters. It is also a classic, American-Chinese restaurant from the 1950’s. The food was just like you’d expect. In keeping with that, we had one of their special soups ($7.95), one tofu with pork, one egg... Was treated like a local even though I wasn't. Great Chinese food very friendly service with a very busy takeout business too. Very cold beer and big appetizers. Good size portions too!

My wife and I have eaten here a couple of times, choosing the dinner for two option. both times the food came out piecemeal, with soup, but next rice dish, then a delay before the entree came out. The food is more than two people will usually eat and quite good, but the odd delays between dishes left us with... More

The food is good and service was friendly. Prices are fair for the amount of food. The atmosphere is inviting with privacy.

Being from the San Francisco Bay Area we were a bit apprehensive about trying this restaurant but we were very pleasantly surprised! The owners are from Oakland and the food was very good. They try to have asian vegetables, bok choy and snow peas. Nice job on the sizzling platters and appetizers. Nice selection of tofu dishes as well. Very... More

We chose the Happy Garden because it was close to our hotel and we didn't feel like venturing out after our long day on the road. I was a little apprehensive when we walked in and only one table was occupied but we sat down anyway. Mistake. The food was marginal, frozen eggrolls from a box, frozen crab appetizer something... We stopped to get some take-away food and was very nicely surprised. The portions were really big and food was yummy. Quick service, reasonable prices. Be aware that if you order a dinner menu to take away, you don't get the soup but pay the same price. Very good location.
