too sad

award winning food is NO LONGER award winning. just your standard Americanized Chinese food. No one spoke English enough to understand what we wanted. We took it all *to go* and never even finished 1/2 of it. Sad because it used to be delicious

From the outside this place doesn't look like much, but don't let that stop you. The food was abundant and very good. Best sweet and sour soup we've ever tasted.

We have eaten there before with family who live in the area. The food is great, portions are huge. We had enough left over for lunch for the next two days. Service was excellent.

I'm in Elko for work, and I've found it hard to find good food. However, Chef Cheng's was delicious. The staff was friendly, the portions were huge, and the prices were reasonable. I ordered the kung pao chicken and my boyfriend had the Mongolian beef. Both were very tasty. Will visit again!

I've seen a lot of reviews of this place and was skeptical of going back, but the temptation was getting to me. I went in for their lunch special and oh my god, it was as good as I remembered it. It took them only a good 5-7 minutes to cook my meal n I had no problems with that.... More

Great food, great prices, great portions! In Elko. Go figure! Enjoyed all the food, but really special was the appetizer sampler that comes with a mini hibachi to keep food warm. This former coffee shop doesn't look that good from the outside, and inside it's clean, but can use a makeover. Still, the food is very tasty, service is fine... More

I can't say I'm necessarily impressed, but I'm far from disappointed. Food taste is good, though a bit bland, at an OK price. Service is friendly. 4/5, it's worth a visit.

Visited this restaurant many times. Decided to review. This time had the spicy garlic scallops dish. Scallops were of the defrosted kind and on the smallish side. When arriving at the table you can actually see the water still coming out into the sauces. Sauce although was garlicky and spicy, it suffered from too much corn starch and it was... More

This restaurant was recommended and the Chinese food was very good and very ample. We had chicken and tofu with vegetables and fried noodles, which were cooked in a very different fashion that we had seen before. The staff are pleasant and attentive and the amount of food was generous. The evening meal cost about $11.00 per person.

Great service but the food was mediocre at best. Hot and sour soup was oily, Kung pao chicken came with no rice, forgot plum sauce with mushu as well as to go cutlery. Hopefully this isn't the best chinese in elko!
