The Star was closed so we went to the Toki Ona. We ordered the ribeye steak and trout. Admittedly, the steak was huge and very good. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was disappointing and mediocre. Soup of the day was chicken pasta and when the soup arrived, there was no broth, just star pasta and bits of chicken. "Bland"... If you're interested in trying Basque food or the family dining atmosphere come to Toki Ona. The restaurant certainly isn't fancy and feels like a diner but they have great food. My boyfriend ends up with their steak and crab almost every time we go and his happy every time. You'll start with soup, usually clamp chowder or chicken pasta... More

We came on the recommendation from our hotel and enjoyed the family atmosphere with lots of good food and friendly staff. We split a dinner and still had more than we needed.

There was a group of 8 of us. We even made reservations to help them deal with us. We asked for separate checks and were told no problem. When the "check" came. . . we had to deal with figuring who owed what. It was made very clear it was our problem. The noise and commotion of the place was... More

Second time to eat at this restaurant. I forgot to tell them not to bring pasta and extra bread, etc. The main dishes are huge! We had baked lamb which was delicious. If you are getting on in age and traveling, tell the waitress to not bring the large amounts of food. I hate to waste.

We are Basque and were in town for the annual Basque festival and decided to try Toki Ona this year. The food was really delicious and the service was great! We'll definitely be returning!

A rather spartan atmosphere with adjoining full bar, good service, typical Basque menus and presentation with large selection of entrees.

We're in town for the mining show, and decided to try the Toki Ona in lieu of the Star. The fresh french fries were delicious, and that's about where it ended. Sorry, the soup was actually tasteless... which is hard to do in my opinion. The veggies... cold and plain. The salad... drowning in the bland dressing, it tasted like... More

Ate here on a recent road trip. Went in for a late dinner. Basque Food is the one food I go out of my way to eat. I have a good idea of what I like in Basque Food ! This wasn't it! This was the last dinner of my road trip, the first dinner was The Wool Growers in... More

This is one of our favorite places for lunch or dinner. There is another, more famous Basque restaurant in town, but this one is every bit as good! Try the Ona potatoes (like an au gratin potato). Dinner is served family style- the chicken and pasta soup is great! Enjoy!
