Canned green beans? This basque restaurant has strayed far from its food roots. Servings are huge but who could eat this much low quality food? The soup was delicious but the rest seemed pretty much out of a box.

As with all Basque restaurants, you'd better bring a big appetite. There is a wide range of entrees, not just the traditional lamb etc., but regardless of choice you will be served bread, soup, salad, spaghetti, rice, potatoes, and a green vegetable (expect beans). The food just keeps coming. My lamb chops were delicious--thick and done exactly as I ordered...

very good place to eat. not as busy as the more famous basque house but as good if not better. huge portions of family style eating. great steaks, prime rib, fish, and lamb also in large portions.
This is the one you want to go to. Be hungry too! Like really really starving. We love the food though. Yummy!
Have been here numerous times and have eaten at other Basque places (Star, Biltoki, even Nevada Place when it was around) in town many times. They all have their certain uniqueness and food choices.
What you will find in here is more diner style (as compared to communal tables like at Star). Their lamb chop is very good too, and...

We visited a Sunday night - as everything else seemed to be closed. We ordered a family dinner for 2 and we're served a delicious cabbage soup then a plain salad and too much meat! 2 steaks, 2 pork chops, 2 lamp chops, 12 meat balls, 8 slices of beef tongue and plenty of chicken. Sides includes mixed corn and...

The sign says 'American & Basque Family Style'. There were three dishes that had Basque in the name. Otherwise this is like a Denny's - sandwiches, fish & chips, hamburgers, etc. I had a tuna melt that personally I liked a lot but most people probably wouldn't. It was tuna with a very light touch of mayonnaise (no onions, pickles,...

I always wanted to try Basque food and the motel suggested Toki Ona. We probably wouldn't have picked it from looking at it--very barebones and a little noisy. I first visited in 2001 and really enjoyed the food.. The food is still wonderful.. Nice flavorful soup and boy were those lamb chops delicious.. service was good as the restaurant was busy and we went close to closing time.. Loved it
We wanted to try Basque food while in Elko and the recommended Star and Biltoki were very busy so we went to Toki Ona. The portions were huge and we ended up packing away half of it for the next day! Very reasonable prices too. Food was nice, not outstanding but good. Atmosphere very nice and service really good and...
