Zis is one of zee best restaurants in Carson City! An inventive menu, wonderful delicious food, and friendly service. I would recommend an attempt to make the decor a bit cozier.

This place is a true find, and worth making a trip to experience! It is a very intimate atmosphere, but cozy and warm. The food is outstanding - fresh, creative and excellent. The specials are consistently good. The service is very professional but friendly. Definitely worth the effort.

You would never know, that inside was such a special place. Tina meets you as you enter and you are seated, either at a lone or shared table. Everyone there is nice and the conversations lead to friendships. The table tops are paper and supplied with crayons for your artistic pleasures. I have left many pictorial statements. From New Years,... More

Anyone living in Carson City knows how hard it is to find a good evening dining experience. Z Bistro provides a unique menu that changes weekly, with a wonderful French chef. His wife is your hostess, and often, server. She remembers your preferences and treats you like family, but as an honored guest at the same time. The place is... More

Unique dishes excellently prepared. Not a place for ambience but still nice interior. Small so I would recommend reservations. We'd go back.

It's hard to give an overall average rating, and I'll tell you why. Last night we had a retirement party for a beloved coworker. The party was scheduled from 5-9, to accomodate those who work past 5. We order our appetizers and dinners. People kept coming in, until we had about 20. Some of us got our appetizers and then... More

You'd drive by Z Bistro a hundred times and never give it a second glance. Very unprepossessing exterior (and the interior is very humble, too.) But the hostess and chef (who, I think, must be the owners), are very friendly and down-to-earth. There must be a cadre of regulars, because the hostess greeted a number of them by name. But... Went for lunch with friends. I normally don't care much about decor, but the atmosphere created an odd contrast to the menu. Despite the french posters on the walls, this place has the sophistication and charm of a McDonalds and was strangely off-putting. I had steak frites. Frites (french fries) and accompanying aioli were excellent. Steak was edible but gristly... More

Nice staff, delicious food. Not cheap but it's worth. The mussels putanesca are delicious. Had beef for dinner and it was good too. Nice overall experience, would come back.
