Good food, nice atmosphere, pleasant wait staff

We always have a good meal at the Basil. Food is fresh and always arrives hot and nicely presented. Would recommend to anyone.

very charming and warm restaurant. The food was better than excellent, and the service supreme. The waiter's smile and affable attitude made our day. We seldom eat in Carson City for there are few restaurants that meet our expectations, perhaps because we are Italians and accustomed to great Italian food. Indeed we will return....

I was travelling with dogs so got take-out. The menu looked wonderful but the prices were up to $10 higher than I've seen at any Thai restaurant. I got a very good coconut chicken soup, a Thai iced tea, and a veggie wrap. Highly recommended, but spendy.

The food was so fresh and delicious. The setting was pretty, the staff welcoming. I had the Green Garden with shrimp. I really loved that they served the soup immediately so you could eat it while looking at the menu! Even tho it was a 100 degrees outside, I recommend the hot jasmine tea - it was to die for!

It's probably the best looking asian restaurant I've ever seen (and we build asian restaurants for living). It's adorable indeed. The food isn't that spectacular and I expected more light dishes (since in the other Thai restaurant I've visited we had a wide range of salads).

We eat at the Basil every few months and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently good and well priced. The vegetables are crisp and never overlooked.

I have been to the Basil many times and can tell you that the service is great, the staff is very friendly and the food is consistently good. If you like Thai food they have a great array of choices, not to mention the specials. The presentation of the food is also fun and exciting. If you get the chance... More

Just passing through and decided not to do the Reno experience so carried on to Carson City. Now, where to eat? My wife and I enjoy all types of food so looked on trip advisor and saw the high rating and decided to try it. Great experience. Treated very professionally and food was tremendous. Yellow curry on shrimp was superb.... More

I have been here about 8 times over the last several years. It is very good Thai food, great service, very nice atmosphere, and beautiful presentation of the food. Some soups are served in coconut bowl. A fried rice is served in a pineapple. Try the masuman (not sure of spelling) curry - it is sweeter than others and delicious.... More
