an update: this restaurant still has the best Chinese in the valley (or at the lake for that matter). Everything tastes fresh and the preparations wonderful. Darned close to my favorite Hot and Sour Soup anywhere. Their home made pot stickers have a thicker skin than most, but remain light and flavorful, especially when served with a sweet soy. Their... with so many poor choices (with combinations of MSG, old oil and non fresh ingredients) it was a joy to have found China Jade Horse, located just behind the In-n-out on Topsy. We've been there several times now for lunch and have tried many, many items on the menu without a single disappointment - all of the house specials are... More

The reviews were spot on. Good menu selection decent prices and very good fresh and hot food. The Pot stickers are excellent a combination of soft fried almost like a steamed dumpling. The pan fried noodles were also very good. Service a little slow with only one server working the floor and one of their children helping out from the... More

We found this restaurant by chance while shopping in Carson City. We were promptly welcomed and seated. It reminded us of our favorite spot in the town that we had just moved from, right down to the daughter in the back, doing her homework and the occasional chore. The menu is varied with individual dishes and family dinner specials. We... More

If you are looking for a classic family run Chinese place, this is it. Very reasonable prices and the food is consistently good. For a buck or two more than Panda Express, you can sit down at a table, be served and have a very nice meal. It's not elegant, but it is clean and we have always been treated... More

My husband and I went here for lunch today after hearing that the food was good. We were promptly greeted and seated. The lunch menu is expansive and very reasonably priced...$4.95-$7.95 for a 3 course meal. Each lunch comes with one fried egg roll and one fried wonton per person. Each person also has a choice of hot and sour... More

Been going here for years, mainly at lunchtime. Food and service are always great. My two favorite lunch eats are the Scallops with Black Bean Sauce and the Mongolian beef. Yum! The prices are amazing too. For those of you who like to eat fresh, wonderful food and if you prefer to stay away from chain restaurants, support your local... More

Have eaten at China Jade several times over the past 3 or 4 years. Food is consistantly excellant and the prices better than reasonible. I would call it Chinese comfort food - nothing extra fancy, just plain good (Chinese) food.

Have done take out from here many times and the food is very good. No MSG and not too oily. Everything we have tried has been good. And,they even serve brown rice. That is a real plus.

My wife and I were recently shopping in a Carson City shopping center which appeared to be suffering from the current economic situation. We noted that more than a few store fronts were empty and a few restaurants had recently gone out of business. We were hungry and decided to give this little place a try for lunch. What pleasant...
