I like the home town atmosphere and cooking and dislike nothing. The coffee and food are great, and Jerry is always there to ask you how you are doing.

The menu is basic and the restaurant is an obvious local favorite. Closes early and plates are well filled. Great food
This little restaurant has the most amazing food. But first a word about the service. The last two times we ate lunch at the Cracker Box we had an amazing waitress named Paula. She couldn't have been friendlier or more efficient. Was always spot on with a coffee or soda refill and took our order promptly. The food was brought...

You can't go wrong with any choice you make. Eggs, omelets, pancakes...unbelievable potatoes and the best country gravy. Sausage is from a local sausage maker and the sourdough bread is great. The atmosphere is small town friendly diner. Wonderful lunches are also served. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Cash or check only (atm on site).
Their food is very good. A little pricey. Alway very fresh ingredients and house made food. A favorite with the locals. Be prepaired for a line in the morning on the weekends!
I love eating at the Cracker Box - the food is excellent, the staff is outstanding, and the hardest part is choosing from the many menu options.
Vintage style diner decor. Friendly staff and a popular haunt for locals and tourists alike. We have eaten here a number of times and it has always been great, fresh squeezed orange juice and made to order food. This place can get busy so dont drop in if you are in a hurry, go when you can enjoy the chat...

Food is good, people are friendly. I liked the Fish sandwiches their daily specials are usually very good.
My boss recommended me this restaurant because he says he's been coming here for 30 years and they haven't changed their cooking style. So I went there and order a glass of orange juice. They squeeze the oranges right there and the eggs and bacon are not too oily. Great breakfast and great experience for this Carson City icon.
My sister and I stopped in for lunch today at the Cracker Box. We arrived at 11:40 and placed an order shortly after. The restaurant was crowded but there were some empty tables. A man came and sat down next to us and said he was waiting for a friend and did not order. Thirty minutes later we will still...
