This place looks like a hole in the wall, but the food is so delicious. Take a chance, you won't regret it.

This is truly authentic Mexican at its best. From the homemade corn tortillas for the tacos to the perfectly seasoned fillings, this place is a MUST STOP whenever you are in the Scottsblugg.Gering area!! I think the people disappointed with this place must think the overseasoned, greasy food at the chain restaurants is "Mexican". If you truly know authentic, you'll... More

Good Mexican fare that to the best of my knowledge is authentic. Guacamole and freshly made in-house chips excellent. Staff friendly. A good sign: clientele heavily Hispanic all dressed up in their Sunday best having a good time. Reasonably priced. Hasn't become pretentious since it opened +/- five years ago. Only drawback, unisex toilet (one only), dark, needs to be... More

Bring cash and an appetite. Good food and service. Don't be put off by the exterior. Place was spotless and staff friendly.

I visited on a Saturday night at just about closing. The outside of the place IS a dive. Unfortunately, so is the inside! I ordered the Guacamole and chips along with chicken fajitas. The chips were good and homemade. The guacamole? I was disappointed with it. After reading to be sure to get it, I found it to be bland... More

Friends suggested El Molcajete, but I wasn't impressed. I had the chicken enchiladas, which is always a safe choice, and I can say that they were fine, but only that. The rice and beans were nothing special. The restaurant looks more dodgy from the outside than it actually is. I was the only person dining there at the time. Again,... More

My family and I have eaten here for years. There is no reason why this is rated number 9. Great service, incredible authentic food. Get the Buche Taco. Don't look at it and don't ask what it is, just enjoy. This place and the Creamery next door for ice cream is a complete day. Enjoy.

Stopped there today. Yes, it is a total dive. Server suggested the combination so that is what I had along with chips and salsa. Taco was a very small corn tortilla fried, lots of white cheese, not sure what the filling was appeared to be a mash of beans and a touch of ground beef. The taco was good, but... More

I guess we expected some options of food served in molcajetes, but it is limited to the guacamole and salsas. However, for being a little "dive" in Scottsbluff the food is pretty good and the service was friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon and every table was taken by the time we left. You could tell a lot of... More
