I visited on a Saturday night at just about closing. The outside of the place IS a dive. Unfortunately, so is the inside! I ordered the Guacamole and chips along with chicken fajitas. The chips were good and homemade. The guacamole? I was disappointed with it. After reading to be sure to get it, I found it to be bland... More

Friends suggested El Molcajete, but I wasn't impressed. I had the chicken enchiladas, which is always a safe choice, and I can say that they were fine, but only that. The rice and beans were nothing special. The restaurant looks more dodgy from the outside than it actually is. I was the only person dining there at the time. Again,... More

My family and I have eaten here for years. There is no reason why this is rated number 9. Great service, incredible authentic food. Get the Buche Taco. Don't look at it and don't ask what it is, just enjoy. This place and the Creamery next door for ice cream is a complete day. Enjoy.

Stopped there today. Yes, it is a total dive. Server suggested the combination so that is what I had along with chips and salsa. Taco was a very small corn tortilla fried, lots of white cheese, not sure what the filling was appeared to be a mash of beans and a touch of ground beef. The taco was good, but... More

I guess we expected some options of food served in molcajetes, but it is limited to the guacamole and salsas. However, for being a little "dive" in Scottsbluff the food is pretty good and the service was friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon and every table was taken by the time we left. You could tell a lot of... More

I eat there as often as I can. The food is authentic and delicious. It is sometimes cold, however, so I ask for a hot plate. They are very hospitable.

From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall, but I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in the door. It has a small dining area and the appearance was clean. The waitress was prompt and very pleasant. The food came in a timely manner after ordering and the ingredients were fresh. I moved to this area from... More

Passing through Scottsbluff, we stopped here based on TripAdvisor reviews. Wow, was it good! The guacamole was some of the best I've ever had. All the food was excellent. Everyone in my family enjoyed it. (My husband is Mexican.) The value is incredible. Wish this place was near where we live!

After reading all the glowing reviews I stopped in. They got one thing right....the appearance is terrible. That's about all that the reviews were accurate regarding this place. I ordered a chimi to go. Imagine my surprise when I got back to the hotel room and found a pre-made grocery store variety burrito that had been quickly deep fried and... More
