We make it a goal to try something local when we travel, and Runza did not disappoint. The food was delicious and very affordable. I loved having the option to customize what went on my runza.

While visiting my nephew he recommended we have lunch at Runza. Not typical fast food. Their motto is: "The Difference is Real" The first visit I ordered a chicken fruit salad. The second time I had their namesake, the Runza, a kind of a pasty with ground beef, cabbage and onions along with Frings...fries with onion rings. Both were tasty.... More

Great salads and terrific hamburgers. This a fast food chain founded in Nebraska that is my favorite soup shop throughout the winter. $1.00 drinks and 95 cent ice cream cones are my summer staples.

We dined in for lunch to get out of the heat and enjoy the A/C. The food was tasty and served hot! The bathrooms were large and clean. The staff was very friendly. Before I left, I asked for directions to a friend's house and the staff went out of their way to find a map and show me how... More

1960 . . . Let me take you back . . . When my wife and I were dating, way back in the 60's, there was a little "food stand" near the entrance to Pioneer Park in Lincoln Nebraska that served only runzas. We would go there and get two runazs, go to the park, spread out our blanket, open... More

I had no idea what one was. However, the Runza sandwich (ground beef, cabbage, onions) was quite tasty. The fries were good and surprisingly they serve good salads. It's 5 stars for fast food.

We saw the giant sign touting the world famous french fries. We pulled in to give it a try. Well.....don't go for the french fries unless you love generic frozen fries. OK at best. Disappointing after reading the sign. They serve pretty tasty soups. The big surprise was the restaurant quality salad. WOW! The salad was what you would expect... More

I am not from Nebraska, so I honestly don't see what all the fuss is about. There are several menu selections that I enjoy, and the food is typical fast food. The thing that turns me off is the attitude particular location shows to it's neighboring establishments. There must have been a dispute over the use of the adjacent parking... More

There are two things that hold the far-flung State of Nebraska together. One is our love for our football team. The other is our love of Runza. A Runza is a kind of cabbage roll, fresh baked bread filled with hamburger and cabbage and lovely spices. Have it original or with cheese. Swiss Mushroom is good too, as are the... More
