I added this to the wrong page originally. We had a really delicious meal at the Five Bells. The walls are adorned with curio and nicknack's. The well in the centre is lit and still contains water. All the money collected goes to charity. The food was delicious. It had a home made feel to it, generous portions and incredibly... More

Every time I visit I am never disappointed, It is worth the drive from Newark to this lovely village pub. Booking is recommended, it does tend to get fully booked quickly! (Says it all!) Sunday lunch was excellent. Service is also very good; staff are friendly. The food is all freshly cooked to order; but never wait too long. The... More

I've been a frequent visitor for more than 20 years and it never ceases to surprise me that the rural charm and character is maintained whilst the Five Bells has moved into the 21st Century.

We stopped at the Five Bells for Sunday lunch, there was a warm friendly welcome from staff, the pub is cosy and traditional with lots of oak beams and antique pieces decorating every nook and cranny add the cosy feel of the log burner keeping it all nice and warm on a very chilly day. The food was equally good,... More

Just popped in for a quick bite to eat, really busy so we had quite a long wait, didn't mind. Staff were really friendly. Menu a bit disappointing, not much on it to that we liked, but you can't please everyone. We all had steak, though a little over priced were all cooked perfect. Plenty of chips, salad and vegetables,... More

We have been coming here for over 20 years, and use to spend at least 3 out of the 7 day week eating there delicious food!! Unfortunately over the years the consistency has disappeared, it is either "sublime cuisine" or "disappointingly Unacceptable"!! The last occasion, which was 3 weeks ago, my friend asked for more gravy for her dehydrated bangers... More

I visited the Five Bells with family at Christmas; we'd talked about going here for a while and eventually managed to organise a night. The pub/restaurant is a good old fashioned "Inn" with dried hops hanging from the ceiling and a variety of ornaments hanging off the walls, something you rarely see these days compared to all the modern bars.... Spent New Year's Day with husband Doug and sister Linda at this delightfully, quaint pub The service was first class, food excellent and plenty choice. Dessert was perfect. Cost was so reasonable and overall complete success. Recommend this pub to anyone.
