Beautiful countryside pub . It is best to book as the place was really full when we arrived . This pub has been renovated really nicely . The service was very slow and the waiting time between courses very long . The choice on the menu is very extensive but I am afraid the quality of the food is only... More

We were staying locally & went here for a Sunday evening meal. The pub was very busy & we did have to wait some time before ordering, however the restaurant manager was most apologetic. We liked the rustic atmosphere & all the beams & the small eating areas although we asked to move tables as it was obvious there was... More

I ordered confit of duck and asked the waiter if it would be as good as the one I cook. I cook a mean confit of duck. He said it would be good and indeed it was! Very attentive and pleasant staff and beautiful gardens. We have been here several times and will continue to return.

We were visiting friends in Abingdon and they had told us about this place and suggested we tried it. It was a really super lunch, the food was excellent, the service was very good and staff unpretentious. The manager treated us really well due to a short delay because they were so busy. \\\\\\\but that did not spoil the experience... More

Great country pub serving excellent quality food in a charming family friendly setting. Steaks perfectly cooked and served with a choice of excellent sauces (butter and anchovy strongly recommended).

The Mole Inn is a place we discovered a few years ago thanks to a friends recommendation. We have been many times and have always found it to be excellent for service and food. All those top restaurants and TV chefs with their award winning venues don't come close to The Mole. Excellent food and drink without the snobby pretence.... More

Just out of Oxford, down a narrow country lane, our kind hosts brought us suddenly to the most gorgeous old building with a glorious garden. We spent two weeks eating at lovely restaurants in Paris and England and this was the best! The staff were friendly and helpful with the perfect balance between attentiveness and unobtrusiveness. Knowing that we would... More

We were greeted like royalty, service is excellent, friendly knowledgeable staff. All items are freshly prepared. The Thai Fish Cakes are the best you will ever taste, 2 of us had those and 2 had shredded duck and the 5th had Mozerrella - all very yummy. The mains were 3 sea bass 1 ribeye steak and the fish of the... More

A lovely Sunday lunch in a beautiful garden which had so many nooks and crannies.... All chose fairly differently but mainly Sunday Roast and Burgers. Delicious roast lunch, lovely roasties and Yorkshires plus just enough gravy. A delightful setting - shame it is so far away.
