We had been talking about trying this place for ages. The thing that put us off a bit is that we have had some really mixed experiences in the Mole and Chicken (I think the two are the same group); so didn't want to spend the money (as it is not a cheap eat) if the experience was just so... read more

Having never been before, my colleague recommended this pub to me for my mothers birthday lunch. Just me and her in their beautiful garden, even on a Tuesday lunch it seems busy. The staff were as attentive as possible and the manageress apologised for the wait (very short) for our food. It was a pleasure to come and have a... More

We were two families and a puppy on a busy Easter Monday. We had booked and pre-ordered our food which made it easy but when we arrived we asked to sit at a table not normally designated for al a carte diners. However Jenny, the manager, was happy to indulge our request and provided us with excellent service throughout lunch... More

We decided to try the Mole for the first time for Sunday lunch, we never booked but the manager made arrangements to fit us in which we we're grateful for as they seemed very busy. Great menu selection at very reasonable prices and high standards were obvious throughout. Quick, friendly and efficient service. Would recommend to anyone who appreciates good... More

Having eaten here many times before, it was the obvious choice for a family birthday meal. As always the food was excellent and I have no complaints there. The service was quick but lacked personal attention. No assistance was offered to the Ladies in carrying their drinks when we were called to our table. Food was brought to our table... More

A group of us celebrated a colleague leaving with a quick lunch at the Mole. Bearing in mind there were 21 of us, the service was quick and efficient and the food was served to everyone within a few minutes. Good prices too. I had the mole burger which was tasty and well presented but I did enviously look at... More

My Husband & I were there for an Wedding Anniversary lunch. It was a very busy Sunday, but we were greeted with courtesy and immediately shown to our table. My Husband had the home made Parsnip soup, which he declared excellent. We both had the Sunday roast of Lamb, with all the usual accompanying veg, excellent roast spuds and Yorkshire... More

'The Mole' is our regular lunch time venue when visiting Oxford. We were grateful for the help provided for my elderly, partially-sighted, disabled mother. The usual imaginative menu and attentive service made for a superb Mother's Day experience. Thank you.

It has been a few months since my wife and I were in the area, but we make sure we have lunch at The Mole when we are. We chose the set menu - Thai soup followed by grilled pork chop on a bed of linguini and chorizo lardons. Excellent service, good sized portions, very well presented, and tasting fantastic.... More

We were staying in the area and tripadvisor reports looked good. On our arrival the manageress/ landlady said she would show us to our table. What she actually did was walk to a table and put two menus on it without comment. We guessed this was the table she wanted us to sit at. The young lady waitress was very... More
