The burgers were OK, cooked to hard for my tastes. There was no pink left and no juice either. The fries were tasty. That said our three children ordered shakes. Hand made from ice cream not soft serve. The were large and incredibly delicious.

We like this diner. We camp down the road from it and walk over. The food is always tasty and the place is clean. It's small, but a cute diner where you can watch your food being prepared. It is always a stop we look forward to for a quick, tasty diner meal.

Average food, average service. The cook was friendly. It wasn't very busy that early in the morning. The waitress could easily have given a little better service. I usually leave a 20% tip for anything even slightly better than average service. Today I left 15%.

I really wish I could go higher since I don't do poor reviews lightly. On the plus side this new diner is gorgeous. Worst shall be first; the man who bought our food kept rubbing his nose and sniffing. Yuck. My biscuits and gravy were just barely ok. The gravy was like white paste; no flavor at all. The bacon... Ate dinner there and then breakfast the next morning (stayed at the Oak Tree Inn, which gives you a breakfast voucher for Penny's). Food was good and loved the diner atmosphere.

Yuk had the buffalo burger and though it was lower in fat still a greasy mess , cooked from frozen not fresh. Good idea for a diner but pass on this one. Bathroom also unkempt.

Camped nearby and stopped in for breakfast on our way to Boulder. Service great. Our booth had been cleaned - even the seat had been wiped down! The biscuits and great were fabulous and eggs done just right. My husband had hash browns, eggs and bacon. Another clean plate club member. We will stop by here again! Maybe to try... More

Had dinner here one night when we stayed in North Platte. It's right off the interstate and was close to our hotel (and many others). Service was very good. Our kids each wanted a shake, and while some places would've just gone ahead and let us order them, our waitress was kind enough to give us a heads up that... More

I have celiac disease and they took all the necessary precautions to prepare my food separately for me and without complaining. They rock!! Food was delicious. Nothing like a great breakfast to start our vacation .

Based on other reviews we went to Penny's for lunch. Place was busy so that's always a good sign we thought. My husband ordered a burger and what a greasy mess!!! It took 2 napkins to sop up the grease off the burger before he even tried to eat it. Fries ok he said. I had a chef salad and... More
