Three ate here late morning - two had breakfast (available 24 hrs) and one had the foot-long chili-cheese dog. Dog was good. Breakfast skillet was pretty tasty (omitted the jalapenos). The All-American was also good - eggs scrambled flat-top style (on the flat-top, not whisked in a bowl), hash browns were ok - could have used a little more char... More

We stayed at the Oak Tree Inn where they gave us a complementary breakfast at Penny's Diner. The waitress was a bit sassy but fun to tease. The food was outstanding. We watched the chef make all the meals right in front of us. The prices on the menu were very reasonable. The atmosphere was right out of the 50's... More

First thing you notice when you walk in is the open kitchen exhaust fan roaring like a jet engine, the music blasting to be heard over it, and the employees yelling at eachother to be heard above it all. $18+ for a chicken sandwich, fries, pie and malt. The pie was a frozen Mrs. Smith variety, the breaded chicken out... More

The ham and cheese omelets are to die for and the skillets are just as amazing. If you love Waffle House you will find Penny's Diner very comparable.

I stop here everytime I go to Colorado for a chocolate malt, buffalo burger and fries. Service is fast, burger is perfect and the servers are all characters. Fun stop on a very long drive.

I am giving an excellent review for the service and average for the food. Couldn't sleep so went to this tiny dinner at 1am. When I walked in there were only 3 other people and the one person was waitress, cashier, bus boy, and cook. She was super friendly and fit perfect in this place. She even brewed me a... More

This was adjacent to a motel we stayed in. It is small ln a metal building designed to look like an old fashioned diner. The menu is somewhat limited but you can watch much of what goes on in the open cooking area. The meal was very tasty and of good quantity.

If you're looking for great down-home service with a smile and a terrific breakfast to boot, this is the place to pull in off of I-80. Try the skillet breakfast - and the sour dough toast on the side. Great cuppa Joe too! Nice job, girls!

The burgers were OK, cooked to hard for my tastes. There was no pink left and no juice either. The fries were tasty. That said our three children ordered shakes. Hand made from ice cream not soft serve. The were large and incredibly delicious.

We like this diner. We camp down the road from it and walk over. The food is always tasty and the place is clean. It's small, but a cute diner where you can watch your food being prepared. It is always a stop we look forward to for a quick, tasty diner meal.
