Prefect end to a busy day

Stayed at a hotel nearby & walked to Bread & Cup - this was JUST what I was looking for. Took a charcuterie assortment to go - great quality imported salami paired with a nice aged cheddar, a great sliced apple, and some incredibly fresh French bread. I was even able to grab a single bottle of... read more

Great place for a slow paced, delicious lunch. Good food with a quiet place to eat. People are friendly and selection is interesting.

First of all, I was totally amazed that this little place with fresh breads and wonderful grilled vegetables had beer on tap! And the beers were good. We came for lunch and had great sandwiches and came back the next night for dinner and had a flight of beer. Great friendly service to boot. Love this place.

Good service, pleasant atmosphere and good food here. I am vegan my husband is carnivore - we both liked what we ordered.

Very tasty, extremely fresh and obviously home made! I recommend split pea soup and curried tuna sandwich, philly was pretty good too.

Set in the historic Haymarket district this is the perfect setting for a lovely meal. I ate here on a number of occassions for brunch and dinner during my stay. The food was delicious. I would recommend the Eggs Benedict with a Bloody Shame for brunch, the dinner menu changes regularly so best to drop by their website to see... More

Bread & Cup is one of our favorite restaurants especially on wine night however the last four times we have been there the service gets worse and worse with each visit. Food is still fantastic but the frustration makes the whole experience unpleasant.

A delightful 6 course meal created from the Farmer's Market. Not only does the food melt in your mouth, cocktails made from current available produce will make you swoon! Cheers!

So I was down in the Haymarket looking to grab lunch before I started studying. Heard about this place and thought I'd give it a shot! I had no clue what to get, nor did I ask what to get. I decided on the grilled and cheese, the number 3 I believe with chicken and avocado, one other ingredient. The... More

despite the advertised simplicity, the menu feels cluttered and the food was just okay. enjoyed the red pepper bisque, but the chocolate bread pudding wasn't worth it. serving portions are large. loved the rustic/urban chic decor.
