My wife and I only had 40 minutes to dine and dash. She had dined at Tico's numerous times, but this was my first. We ordered, got drinks and food within 7-8 minutes and were out the door 15 minutes later on our way to a show. The food was high quality, well priced and fast service. We look forward... More

Most recently had the seafood enchilada. Fabulous, as are all of the other selections there. A Lincoln institution, the food and service are still top-notch.

But the Chili Rellenos were as good as I remembered! My mom had the Pollo en Chilies and she really enjoyed it also. They have free chips and salsa that were really good. The chips had chilli's powder on them. We went early on a Friday evening so there wasn't a crowd. Service was fast and friendly but didn't hover.... More

They may have gone slightly downhill, it is certainly dated on the inside, but they don't change the menu, thank goodness, and it is still pretty darn good food, won't pretend it is authentic mexican, but a hispanic friend of mine used to complain growing up because her mom didn't make the chile rellanos (sp?) like the ones at Ticos,... The food was good although the salsa could be a little thicker. It is close to downtown so convenient if you are seeing a show or a play.

My fiancé and I decided to try Ticos because neither one of us had been there in years. It was disappointing! The guacamole dip was average. Much better at la mexicana. The food was below average and the beans had a funny taste. The chips have some seasoning on them that doesn't add anything special to it. The salsa was... More

Growing up in Lincoln, Ticos was our go-to spot for chile rellenos, and also had the best chips and guacamole. Can't wait to go back, it's been several years since I've had it.

This is an iconic restaurant in Lincoln, authentic Mexican food and drinks, worth every penny. we had a waitress trainee, so we had few things gone wrong, but still, delicious!

Still a Nebraska staple. Food was still good the chips are the same. Decor needs updated. It's still the same as it was in the 80's. Great service.

The nacho wheels were totally bland-they used be very, they've obviously changed their meat during the last year. I ordered enchiladas and one of them had no filling! Our service was awful! Our drinks were empty most of the time and there was only 3 other tables. The wait staff way too busy talking and gossiping around cash register. NEVER... More
