Fabulous

There are not many restaurants in Lincoln where you can get good food, good service, and a good atmosphere all at the same time, but the Oven is one of those places. My husband and I went on a Saturday night. We were seated promptly in the basement/cellar area. Enjoyed our jalapeño beers from... read more

Fabulous Indian cuisine served at one of the best locations in the Lincoln Haymarket area. I have eaten there often for years and have never been served a meal I didn't enjoy. Although an Indian friend told me that not all the dishes are "authentic" here, I really don't care as long as they are this good. They are way... More

And a great wine list! Some terrific bargains. Service is usually solid and it's right in the heart of the Haymarket so plenty of opportunity for drinks etc before or after dinner. Also busy at lunch but seldom a problem getting seated and on your way within an hour.

This place is quite confusing to me. They obviously spent the money on the atmosphere, but the food leaves a lot to be desired for the price. I have had MUCH better Indian food at places that cost over half less. I have heard plenty of people mentioning they have tried this place, but I have never heard of anyone... More

The food is excellent,, the atmosphere is wonderful and the service is usually great. It may be difficult to get in at times since it is so good.

My husband and I do not know a lot about Indian food. But we decide to go on an adventure. The food was great, the staff helpful and great. We even found a great bottle of Austrian Wine on the menu. Do you know how hard it is to find Austrian wine just about anywhere. We were surprised to find... More

Service and ambiance was good but food was just ok. Garlic nan had no chunks of garlic. Maybe a garlic powder butter at best. It might be the best in Lincoln but can't compare to what we have at home. I wouldn't return.

I've enjoyed Indian food around the world for all of my life and The Oven is as good as it gets. I love the food, the service and the atmosphere. I'm particularly impressed with their new cellar dining area. It is beautiful.

We went to the Oven on 11-21-15 for my wife's birthday and both of us had a great meal and experience. It was our first time at this restaurant and we found the atmosphere very pleasant. We were greeted nicely and seated very quickly. Our waiter was very good and gave us some good tips on what to order. Our... More

Been here a number of times. Always enjoyable. The food is very good. The Wait staff....kinda hit n' miss. They are always nice, but.... . I am not a demanding diner, but maybe that is my problem. I seem to be "forgotten" on every other visit to the Oven. That is why I won't give a 5 rating. I tip... More
