Our son is attending UNL and we flew in for my 60th birthday to spend a couple days with him and to celebrate my 60th birthday. My husband had made the reservation thinking the place sounded intriguing and would be an unusual place to have dinner. When we arrived they showed us to one of two tables in the brightly... More

Great atmosphere, quiet and not crowded. Food was good and server was very attentive. Prices are moderate ($$) or so. Plenty of parking.

Have eaten here off and on for years. Chef has always provided a very nice meal. The items available are maybe a little limited, but to me that means special attention to the items. Some classics as well as changing items through out the year. Service is casual, but we never were wanting. Chef made the rounds several times and... More

Took my parents here for their Anniversary. My parents liked it, but I was really disappointed. I've dined in old houses before, but this one has no special "feel". Thought maybe the evening could be salvaged by the service or the exquisite food. . . nothing of the sort. Our server was a bit stand-offish, and the food was only... More

Historic building. Great surroundings. Mediocre at best food. If you're "a person of a certain age," you may like the middle of the road offerings. In my opinion, the food lacks flavor or any thing close to complex flavors. Bland and pedestrian are the words that come to mind. My older colleagues praise this place, so I keep trying -... More

I would never have heard of this place if it wasn't for Groupon. It was fun to try, but I probably won't be back. The menu was impressive, the food was delicious, the wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was charming. I'm just probably too young to justify paying $70 for a meal at this point in... More

Started with two mushroom appetizers, crab stuffed mushrooms and panko crusted portobellos with a light cheese sauce. All 4 of us thought the end product was perfectly cooked and very taste satisfying. Dinner was 4 different main courses. One was a large pork chop, the special. It was huge and delicious. Everything else was good. Very good. Terrific meal served... More

Was in town for a wedding and was told to dine at Billy's for dinner. We had a small private room for our family and I have to say the service was as outstanding as our meal. The steaks were fabulous! The appetizers were wonderful as well. They were also very helpful with altering our menu for a small child.... More

If you are a senior citizen you might find this place wonderful. Reminds me of the knolls which might have been good way way way back in the day. I wont be back.

Owner and chef is perhaps the most versatile in the city. If you have a flavour preference you just need to ask if its not too busy. Appetisers are outstanding. Try the bruschetta and the stuffed mushrooms. Rolls are unique and excellent...normally served fresh but not warmed. Ask for warm. Mediterranean dishes a specialty. I like the rack of lamb.... More
