We had 20 something McNeese State football fans here on the Friday night before our game with Nebraska. Steaks were all cooked to perfection, sides were good and the waitress kept us with drinks and was also good. 17 piece pep band, cheerleaders and the husker mascot came and played for 15 minutes at 7 PM and 8 PM to... This restaurant is about as much of a tradition as anything in Lincoln. If you know anything about the people of Nebraska, tradition is extremely important. Much in that tradition is the manner of how the Prime Rib is served. 28 days dry aged beef! Cooked to perfection! None better anywhere that I've ever been (Career Navy- I've been around).... More

We went back on a trip east ! I ordered a NEW item chicken florentine. I was disappointed as chicken was dry and there was no spinach anywhere to be seen. However, they still had the wonderful large glass of cold Chardonnay. When I mentioned my concern about the entree the waitress went to talk to the food manager. They... More

We have eaten in the Lincoln area several times-usually at breweries because my husband loves good microbrews. We decided to give Misty's a try based on hotel recommendation. It is the original built in 1963 and at first we thought we were going to some old supper club. Atmosphere is very retro, but we were not disappointed in the food... More

My wife and I had lunch at Misty's. Both meals were very good. She had the Husker burger and I had the prime rib melt. The burger was very tasty and came with a very nice bun. She subbed a salad and it was large and very good. The prime rib was very tender and came on sourdough bread. The... More

If you want an awesome, mouth-watering steak that melts in your mouth...this is definitely the place to go! My mouth starts to water just thinking about their food. You are greeted by the aroma as you walk in the doors, then take in the atmosphere. A Husker fan can take in the memories lining the walls and a great bar... More

Locally brewed beer, pork, beef...what more do you want! Regularly eat there since we live close. Servings are generous and often mean a second meal at home? Prime rib is the special but also try the pork ribs and the Reuben. Reuben's originated in a Nebraska, I hear. Take out works best for us but a week ago when I... More

Misty's in Havelock was the place to go in the heyday of the Bob Devaney era. Its walls were adorned with artifacts of the glory years of Nebraska football, and it was peopled with the legends of the game played in Lincoln, who would gather to swap stories and entertain hated and loved rivals like Barry Switzer. Alas, the venerable institution... More

I went to Misty's on Christmas Eve. The food was great. The service was good. My only complaint is that every time I make a reservation, they place my family right by the door. Small space and you can feel the draft every time the door opens and closes.

We have dined many times at Misty's two other Lincoln locations, but it was the first time dining at this one. This is the original Misty's. It is a throwback to the steakhouses of old: dimly lit, dark wood, circular booths. We dined early, arriving at 4:30 on a Saturday. By the time we left at 6, it was very... More
