Have eaten there twice passing thru Kearney- definitely worth a visit- great food- sandwiches, steaks, barbecue- nice beer selection- very good food and reasonably priced- beats going to a national chain place where it don't matter where you are- this place has a homey local ambience- and the food is real good

Friends of mine drove all the way from Virginia to visit me, I was told to choose a restaurant...i choose Skeeter Barn! It was a wonderful experience, my friends enjoyed it as well they still talk about it to this day.

This was convenient to our motel and Alley Rose was closed, so we gave it a try. Place was very crowded at around 6:00 PM, so we had to wait for five minutes for a table. Very friendly staff answered questions as we perused the menu before being seated. Wife ordered the rib / steak combo, which she loved. I... More

Easy access from the highway so I gave it a try. The steak was good but the rib was dry. The sauce at the table was good but nothing outstanding. The service was friendly and quick, though there was only a few of us there. Pleasant and roomy interior and the price was reasonable.

Great bar-b-que. Pork and beef brisket. Wife had shrimp with a salad. The shrimp (in the middle of Nebraska) bar-b-question with bacon. Yummy!

One of our worst dining experiences ever. Slow, indifferent service. Side orders are billed as "all U can eat". Apparently this is feasible inasmuch as the food is nearly inedible. The salad was atrocious - stale, as if it had just come out of an old bag. Purportedly the establishment specializes in ribs so my wife and I ordered them.... More

This place has really improved since the last time we ate there a few years ago. We liked it so much that we ate there a few times during the week. With great service and wonderfully fresh and tasty BBQ each time! Very clean, friendly and helpful employees. It was so nice to have the clean damp warmed cloth and lemon... More

This BBQ restaurant/sports bar is located right off of I-80, sharing the same parking lot as the Holiday Inn Express. The BBQ is very good, with a variety of sauces offered to suit any tastes. There is a variety of local brews on tap. Service is very friendly and effiecient - even when you arrive just before closing time. If... More

The atmosphere and staff were great, but I didn't really care for much of the food. I had the brisket and it was pretty fatty. Husband had pulled pork which was much better, but could have benefited from more seasoning. I also didn't care much for their bbq sauce which makes a huge difference. They have all-you-can-eat sides which is... More
