Grilled Salmon GF could be presented better with maybe a piece of lettuce on the plate. The peanut coleslaw if it was mixed better it would of tasted better. My Husband had the Hawaii Chicken which was GF it was tasty and I would order that dish better..

We were passing through for 1 night and staying across the parking lot so Skeeters made sense. I love BBQ but to be honest I was meated out after the previous night in TX with the tri-tip. We sat at the bar, ordered two big tap beers, which ended up being 32 oz and split a two item (pulled pork,... More

Excellent food and BBQ sauce...wait staff was great and attentive. Good atmosphere. Beverage prices are higher priced then other restaurants except for Applebees has higher drink prices. Highly recommend it.

Skeeter Barnes has some of the best BBQ in the region. I've tried their beef and pork and it's all good. I'm fond of their mashed sweet potato side dish as well. The Brisket is my favorite, and my husband likes their ribs.

We stop here every year during the Sandhill Crane Migration. The food is always excellent, as is the staff. I recommend a big appetite before going.

Stopped by for lunch last weekend while watching the Crane Migration - can only say that it was a very average place to visit. The restaurant itself was quite quaint, which is why we stopped, and the fact that they serve barbeque was a big draw. Really disappointed. It was pretty quiet (I guess we missed the lunch crowd) but... More

Juicy and tender. We were seated right away. Quick service hot out of the kitchen. I do not care for Country music.

We visited here on a Sunday at lunch time with a group of 27. The staff set up a table for us and were able to handle our group with no problem. While not overly friendly, the staff did serve us efficiently. The only problem we encountered was that some of us had slightly cold food.

Absolutely disgusting. Just left there 15 minutes ago and I wish we had gone to McDonalds. Greasy nachos and lights turned up like it was just after closing time and it was time to sweep up. Just imagine the worst of everything you could think up about a bbq place in central Nebraska and you have just exceeded expectations. OMG.

Have eaten there twice passing thru Kearney- definitely worth a visit- great food- sandwiches, steaks, barbecue- nice beer selection- very good food and reasonably priced- beats going to a national chain place where it don't matter where you are- this place has a homey local ambience- and the food is real good
