Wonderful atmosphere!

A delightful atmosphere.....a place to have fun and get together with friends, and also a nice place for a couple. I love the buffet. It isn't fancy, but it's nice. It has a sandwich bar, soup, salad bar, and a couple choice entrees. The entree selection changes daily.

We came to see the Sand Hill Cranes and had dinner at this restaurant at the recommendation of our hotel. Service, décor and food was excellent. Terrific salad bar!

What started out as an average "dinner out" evening"...turned out not to be so wonderful. We went to this restaurant per the WSJ article (regarding seeing Crane's in Nebraska). Before I note the "not so good part"....we had a perky, efficient and friendly wait staff-Ryley!!!! Kudos to her. My spouse started to feel a little queasy shortly after eating some... More

Good and friendly service. Ask for Hedy. Great salad bar. Parking can be a challenge. An adjoining bar.

We've eaten here for years when traveling across Nebraska. The food is good, and they have a nice wine list. Its a pleasant spot to relax after a day in the car. While not cheap, it's worth the price.

Attention to detail and fine food are impressive here. The wait-staff is very courteous and accommodating. Food is well prepared, tasty and attractive with good sized portions. There is also a large variety of choices making this a very accommodating venue for a variety of tastes. Street parking in this downtown area is usually very convenient. There is comfortable seating... More

We were here for my birthday last weekend. The drinks were delicious as always. I recommend the Moscow Mule. Best in town, hands down. I ordered a New York steak and it was delicious. I don't know if it was $26.99 delicious, but it was surely delicious. The waitress was great, the water was always filled and she was very... More

Alley Rose is a very typical overpriced restaurant that you will find in small towns like Kearney. They think that by charging high prices that somehow it will make their food better. I went here with a date. We ordered the mussels as a starter. Three of them were unopened. I pointed this out to the waiter and he just... More

We were in town for a family emergency and had dinner here one Saturday night. The decor is fine, parking difficult to find, and it's on the "main drag." The menu is fairly extensive and varied. Our entrees were prepared well though a bit over seasoned. The wine list was short but the house wine was adequate. The service was... More

Traveling through on I-80, we decided to skip the fast food and try a "local favorite". The reviews we read in our research lead us to a great find. Outstanding food, facility, atmosphere and staff. Our meal was prepared very nicely. Only took a few minutes to reach off the interstate and well worth the drive. Very nice building, furnishing,... More
