Another wonderful, mouthwatering meal at The Low House. Food was excellent, service friendly and beere great as always. A real treat. We stayed in the pub accommodation which was pleasant and the breakfast very generous, my husband was beaten by the full English which was a surprise. Would happily travel up from Bedfordshire again.

We went to the beer festival on Saturday 13th September and both decided on the lamb burgers for our lunch , they arrived approx. 30min latter served on dirty boards cold and tasting awful , when we sent them back a very rude member of staff tried to convince us they were worm and a probe was used to test... We wanted a traditional pub and this is certainly one of those. a unique pub in a lovely location that serves great local produce. The pub itself is of historical interest and is unique in the fact that there is no bar as such, but a room that serves you traditional ales and drinks.....We loved the nooks and crannies and... We absolutely love this pub - and that's exactly what it is - a real proper pub! If you want a spotless, shiny plastic place with a load of noise and microwaved everymeals it's definitely not for you. However if you want to feel you're stepping back in time to when the pub was the hub of the village along... More

We had an amazing meal at The Kings Head, I'm so glad we found it. We ate as a party of four, two adults, two teenagers. I had steak and Ale pie, my friend had vegetarian tart with goats cheese and the girls had a lasagne and a rack of ribs. All presented really well, service was excellent, nice girls.... More

Have visited 3 times this week and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The service is good and very unusual to be served straight from the barrel. Also enjoyed the meal we had and thought that the goats cheese tart to be a highlight. Would thoroughly recommend.

Great pub, fortunately relatively unchanged ,I've been using it for 40years,but overpriced poor food.charging £1.75 for vegetables that are tasteless and undercooked is a rip off,the goats cheese tart with pesto?? sauce was terrible( on dirty wooden plates) overall a great disappointment and such a shame that a classic pub serves such poor food. Beer was good but I could not... More

We have been to this little gem three times now and have not been disappointed yet! The fact that you cannot get any mobile reception also adds to the atmosphere! The food and drink quality is second to none and the Landlords welcome is warm. The accommodation is good, however would benefit from new, more comfortable mattresses. Overall a great... More

This is such a treat. The pub remains unchanged. Beer from the barrel room. It has just won Adnams Community pub of the year and you can see why. I loved seeing the table that had been reserved for cribbage that evening. The old fashioned pews and the layout and decor are really a glimpse into the past. The welcome... More
