When good, it is very good. Other times - not so much

Uncle Ed's is a welcome break from the endless chain restaurants that make up much of Grand Island's dining scene. I have never had a bad steak there, but occasionally a burger or a fish entree will be less than stellar. It has been several months since I dined there, and they may have worked out... read more

This is a wonderful place for a quiet, romantic date for a great meal. This is a somewhat fancy restaurant that serve an amazing steak. It is more pricey than other steak houses, but well worth the money!

Was not a good experience this time at all. I know that you shouldn't have fish at a steak place but I did and it was the worst. Frozen fish cooked to dryness. Should focus not only on steak but also the rest of the menu if you are offering choices. Friend had steak diane horriblely undercooked. Just to really... More

Working a convention in Grande Island, we thought we would try Ed's. Everyone told us to try the beef and we did. We all ordered prime rib, and a couple appys to start. Service was awful and our table was in the back corner in what appeared the storage area for extra chairs and the place was empty. The shrimp... More

Steaks here were higher than I pay in Las Vegas! Service was slow, and place was dead. Food was average.

Loved dinner tonight. Definitely worth the money. It is easy to see why they have won so many awards.

Uncle Ed's has great food and superb steaks. We have eaten steak, pork chops, and chicken here and it is some of the best we have had anywhere. The meat is hand picked and some of the best cuts available. If you want good steak there are several places to go, but if you want it to be great, go... More

Well I ordered my steak medium well and it came out somewhat rare so I had to send it back; otherwise it was a nice place to eat considering it was across the road from where we stayed, The Best Western Plus in Grand Island, Nebraska. If you are staying at The Best Western Plus, you might want to consider... More

I had been three years since we visited Uncle Ed's Steakhouse. It's a higher end restaurant in our minds because of the price point so we don't visit very often. We attended this last time for our Anniversary. I ordered the steak Dianne cooked medium to medium well. It was very rare when I cut into it. I didn't see... More
