We've been back a few times since my review back in 2011, but I thought I'd give an update. It snowed again, so husband and I did our tradition of enjoying a good meal here after snowblowing. I was surprised to read the other reviews of disappointment since once again, we were very happy with our food and service. We... More

I was a little afraid of going here because of some of the reviews but it was late and one of the few sit down restaurants that were still open. So I gave it a go and I do have to say that it was a pleasant surprise! The food was decent and the service we received was good. I... More

My family has raved about this restaurant for several years. This was my first time eating here. Staff was very quick to seat us even though we were a large group. Our server was very conscientious of us and spent a great deal of time making sure we were well taken care of. Food quantity was quite large. Free dessert... More

I am not really a fan of Mexican food, but the meal I had at El Toro was excellent. When I asked for the meals that were not spicy hot, the waiter directed me to some great choices. The service was top-notch, fast and friendly. I recommend El Toro, even for those who don't particularly like Mexican food.

It was right around 5pm/ customers in the dining area but appeared to have enough servers. Didn't seem to be supervised cuz they all hung around the table by the front door. we went with another couple and all 4 meals were luke warm at best and the cheese sauce on 3 of the meals was not good at all.... El Toro is one of my customers favorite lunch places. The service is a little slow, but the food is pretty good as well as the value. I would recommend.

Noticed the name change too late... We had previously enjoyed several meals here before, not this time. El Toro was a decent place to get Mexican food. Very dissappointed, even let the staff know, shrugged their shoulders and kept on walking... If they don't care we won't either. We will never go back, good luck with running this establishment into... More

We have moved to Grand Island for the summer and early fall, this was our first opportunity to go out for lunch. Service was the worst I have experienced in the past 5 years. I am sure it got started when I asked to be seated by a window instead of back in a dark corner in an almost empty... More

Five years ago, we moved from the Chicagoland area to a cabin in the woods, "up north." We've dearly missed authetic Mexican food. So while visiting Grand Island, tried El Toro. We heard there are always lots of cars there, so thought it must be pretty good. Greeted by an enthusiastic manager/host, seated promptly. Hadn't seen the menu before, and... More

Great food at a great price. You don't have to wait long for your food and it;s always wonderful. It's authentic Mexican food. I always go here with friends and it's nice to sit outside on the deck in the summer time.
