WOW...dirty...when I mean dirty..I mean it. Everything from the front doors to the booth and we will not even talk about my food... I got sick on one bite. I will never ever stop here again...

Wife ordered chicken noodle soup, and got vegetable or some crap. They gave her the chicken noodle and it tasted like an old rooster. My hot beef sandwich was moe like two pieces of bread with canned gravy and they waved the beef over it. Would not go there to eat if I had a lifetime pass to eat free.... More

Not very happy with the buffet. Nothing was homemade, it was all frozen food. And the buffet never changes so it gets boring. Probably won't be going back anytime soon.

This is a truck stop so my expectations are low. Food is just OK. The waitresses are nice and work so hard. I tip them good.

We were traveling through Nebraska and stopped at the truck stop in Grand Island. We both tried the Buffet. Food was just warm, dried out, . We stopped around noon too, food should have been fresh but was not. Had fried chicken, pork of some sort, Salisbury steak? at least we think that is what it was. Mac and cheese... More

The food is excellent but overpriced. In so far it's located in a truckstop it doesn't look like a truckstop restaurant.

We go out to eat with other couples on Friday nights and pick someplace different every time. We have been to Grandma Max's several times and each time I dread it. The food used to be delicious, but now is just average or below. The buffet is okay, but a lot of it tastes like frozen food that is cooked,... More

We travel back and forth from Colorado to Iowa every year and make this a place to stop for food and stretch our legs. Grandma Max's restaurant has two seating areas, one area for car travelers and one for truck folks. They offer a breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet which can be anywhere from $7 - $15 depending on the... More

Grandma Max's are attached to the Pilot series of truck stops along I-80 in Nebraska. This one was not as good as the facility in Big Springs, although the place at least was quiet! This time the food was only fair, quality ok, but not well cooked. Well, ya gotta eat!

Grandma Max's definitely serves good sized portions. It's basic, hearty food, pretty well prepared and served. The day we were there, the service was good. The buffet looked unappetizing and expensive. The meals weren't cheap, but there was plenty to eat. My 15 y/o appetite on legs couldn't finish his double cheeseburger thing, which was really two cheeseburgers stacked on... More
