Really wonderful spot. A prototypical small town cafe. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is exactly what you would hope. They're very good at what they do.

We went for lunch-had their broasted chicken which was some of the juiciest yard-bird I've ever had. Service was super friendly. Did not try the soups but all homemade with 4-5 choices. Salad bard was ok but somewhat limited. Pies-pies-pies-the coconut cream and raspberry peach were delish! They probably serve great breakfast (closes at 2pm). Chamber brochure has discount coupon.

We stopped for lunch based on TA reviews, particularly the ones mentioning pie. I had imagined something cheerier, I guess (see photo). The menu was pretty long, and we were trying to save room for pie, so I just had a burger that came with a small bag of Lay's, and the kids did PB&J (so happy that was on... More

Fried chicken and mashed potato lunch special was delicious. Nice soup and salad bar. Great assortment of pies. Great value!

We'd read about The Green Apple on Tripadvisor and decided to give it a go while we were stopping in town. Unfortunately, they weren't open for dinner so we had to wait for breakfast. I had a super pecan roll; my husband had bacon and eggs and raved about how good the bacon was. We'll be stopping again the next... More

Stopped in for breakfast as we were passing thru. Great location just off I80. Small town cafe atmosphere, great service and the food hit the spot. The sausage patty tasted fresh and homemade, the eggs also tasted farm fresh and were fantastic. I would stop here again.

On a trip to Colorado, we stopped in Cozad, NE. The hotel staff recommended the Green Apple Cafe for supper. Forever on the search for the perfect apple dumpling, we didn't hesitate to try it out. We got the last table on a Wednesday night. The menu had a good variety. I got to try something new -- a bacon... More

We ate supper at the Green Apple Cafe after reading about it here on TripAdvisor. The service was fast; the food was good and plentiful. No room for the renowned pies so we can't comment on them. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone & everyone.

I was driving x-country with my teen daughter and craving Cherry Pie. My daughter researched every exit off of I-80 until she found the Green Apple Cafe. What a find. A quaint diner with approximately FIFTEEN different pie choices. And the pie was AMAZING. (We had cherry, and raspberry peach - both ala mode.) A terrific stop on the lo-o-o-ong... More

We recently stopped in Cozad to eat. We would have never visited the Green Apple Cafe if it was not recommended by the hotel staff. It is located downtown in Cozad. The Cafe is like stepping back in time and does not have anything that would have drawn us to think it was a good restaurant. Don't be turned off... More
