Always special....

I'm always amazed at what a great experience we have at Tupelo. But the other night topped them all. We were greeted and treated like Kings as we walked in....and the place was packed with enthusiastic and seemingly happy diners around us, all oohing and aahing out loud. We eat at Tupelo Grille every visit to Whitefish. Lots of locals there. The food is delicious. The service is upbeat and professional.

We ate tonight at a restaurant in Portland that was highly recommended for Cajun food. Although it was quite good there are many dishes the Tupelo does so much better. The Gumbo here is made from a deep, rich roux and the shrimp and grits with the Tasso gravy are to die for. Not to be missed is the bread... More

Had a great time at the bar - really nice staff and a great selection of booze - lots of different kinds which sort of makes you want to try different ones - which we did to great success. Tapas ordered were mixed - some were very good and others bland and tasteless. Recommend tuna and crawfish cakes - don't... More

The first part of our evening had nothing to do with the restaurant but showed off the quality of the staff of Tupelo Grille, as they dealt with a bad situation that was out of their control and something you couldn't (and wouldn't) really prepare for. The power in much of downtown Whitefish went out for around two hours, and... More

We both enjoyed our meals, one a steak with great sauce, and the other the Zydaco Combo - great flavors, and well done. We would go back here often.

We went based on the recommendation of the locals...they nailed it. The shrimp grits were simple and spectacular. My wife had the zydeco combo which ended up being shared as there's a lot there...equally great! My daughter said the Mac n cheese is a contender for best ever. Steak and frites is also close to a sharing option. Portions were... More

Such a good choice after enjoying the local Winter Carnival activities. We did not have reservations so went early to secure a table for 6. We were all pleased with our selections and were told that a good choice is the shrimp and grits as that appears a favorite of their diners. We also had the chicken Marsala which was... More

It is only our second time to Whitefish and now our second time to Tupelo. Memorable, for sure. Highly recommend. The menu feels Cajun, South Western, and French and is an amazing, flavourful experience. I had the delicious classic Shrimp'n Grits and he had the Elk Meat Loaf with Huckleberry sauce reduction and whipped/mashed potatoes. The portions are serious and... More
