The meal was overpriced and all main dishes were a slab of meat or fish with sauce. 6 people had dinner and not one person was satisfied with their meal. I sent my beef dish back as it tasted spoiled. The huckleberry Martina's were delicious.

The Snug Bar is a great place for a beverage and to order from a scaled down menu from Cafe Kandahar. The warm spinach salad and Elk burger are excellent. There is always some interesting to talk to in the very small but comfortable confines of the Snug Bar.

My husband and I ate there twice on our trip and loved it both times. We had elk, bison, and several other dishes. They used combinations of ingredients we had never seen before (and we eat out a lot), and every bite was just delicious. Just be aware that it is pricey; the two of us spent $150 on one... More

Amazing food and amazing service! My husband and I just enjoyed the Kandahar special/tasting with the wine pairing and it was phenomenal. The service was wonderful and we knew what we were having with each course as well as what and where out wine was from. The buffalo tenderloin and the cream brûlée were out of this world! We are... For years we have held our company holiday dinner at Cafe Kandahar - and for good reason. Chef Andy and his team always go the extra mile to ensure that your meal with them is one that stands out from the traditional dining experience. Between all of us in our party, we tried a number of the items on the... More

We went to the Cafe Kandahar restaurant over the Christmas vacation just after New Years with 3 couples so 6 of us total. I was at first surprised that the tables were so close together, I felt like I was dining with the table beside us. We ordered the chefs 5 courses without wine paring. We ordered cocktails before our... More

This is a truly gourmet restaurant, surprising to find at Big Mountain. We ate here with another couple, and of the 4 of us, I am the only one who is even remotely a "foodie". The other 3 had a hard time with the menu. Wait staff was very attentive and explained the food very well. We shared 2 appetizers... More

Nestled on Big Mountain in Whitefish who would think you would find a 7 Star restaurant. If you like exotic dishes paired with worldly wines then you will not be disappointed. This place is greatness especially when you consider where you are!

Having read some great reviews we were very excited to dine here. We left disappointed. It was very expensive for what we received. The service was certainly not that of a fine dining restaurant. Pretentious staff certainly set a tone. The food that we ate looked very nice and tasted great but the portions on the "tasting menu" were exceptionally... More

Had a lovely evening with very good service and superb food. Of all the dishes the roasted asparagus salad was our vegetarian's favorite. The soup was nicely blended flavors, the quail was nicely done, etc. Only improvement would be some more training for the blonde gal who was bussing tables and twice tried to take a plate away before we...
