Outstanding, fresh fish in an unlikely location

Our family had a wonderful meal during our stay in the area. The quality and freshness of all of the seafood is remarkable. Our waiter, Kevin, was amazing and knew his seafood. We loved this restaurant. The outside doesn't give you the ambiance of the inside. The inside is all sleek and modern. I had the hamachi crudo as an appetizer and it was delicious. There were four of us and we shared the fried calamari. It was crisp and yet tender. The sweet dipping sauce was a perfect compliment. I had... More

The Thai Curry Seafood was To Die For & the Mahi Mahi was by far the best we have ever tasted & we've had Mahi all over their World. Daynna was a fabulous and fun server whose descriptions of the food made my mouth water. Thanks for such a wonderful dining experience.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at this restaurant while visiting Glacier NP. Our server, Joanne was outgoing and accommodating and personable. We all ate fish and it was perfectly cooked. Dessert was delicious. The restaurant was modern with an open window into the kitchen. The only negative was that it was difficult to carry on a conversation due to the... More

Who'd expect to find good seafood -- i.e. creatures from the sea/ocean -- in addition to mountain trout, etc. from the lakes and streams in Montana? Well, our granddaughter knew of such a spot, Stillwater Fish House & Oyster Bar just west of Whitefish. It has an old-time roadhouse feel to it, with friendly down-home service to match. The menu... My husband and I eat at Stillwater Fish House in Whitefish, Montana today (August 12, 2015) for dinner. The grilled black cod was the best fish I have ever eaten! The roasted vegetables that accompanied the fish were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning there to dine again.

I read a lot of the reviews on Stillwater fish house this past week and wanted to go before we leave the town. Then we went tonight. I ordered farmhouse salad and scallops, and my husband ordered clam chowder (Manhattan style) and Thai seafood curry. Everything was wonderful just like all those good reviews indicated. A little expensive, but when... More

We were told to be sure and eat here and we were not disappointed. They told us the seafood was better here than on the east coast. We sat at the bar and got to watch the people in the kitchen work. It was so clean we really were impressed.

Stillwater Fish House is the very best in a dining experience that you will ever experience in the Flathead. First Jesse, the owner, is very personable and truly cares about your total dining experience. There has not ever been one time when he has not personally said hello and has added that little something extra to my evening dinners. Marco,... More
