We had a close friend as well as the concierge recommend Stillwater Fish House. We were not disappointed. Several of us got the Salmon and it was amazing. The server also was wonderful and did a nice job handling my wife's gluten allergy. Finally, the hushpuppies provided when you sit down should be absolutely avoided. Once you start eating them,... Had a wonderful dinner there last week. Had the fresh oysters followed by fresh Salmon. both were delicious! Server Sarah was our server and was sweet and efficient. Thanks for the great wine recommendation! If your a seafood fan, this a must stop in Whitefish. Its off the beaten path and worth the effort.

As a local resident, going anywhere in Whitefish for fish can be a crap shoot, exception being WASABI (Sushi) which is ALWAYS AMAZING. Stillwater FH has a excellent staff, interesting atmosphere, loud though, and is reasonably priced. The Appetizer menu items are innovative, tasty and beautifully presented. Oysters are great, Calamari good (undercooked all 3 times we have been there... More

Although a bit out of town, worth the few miles to experience a great meal with locals and out-of- towners. Hubby had halibut ($25.75), and my scallop kabobs ($19.75) were perfectly prepared and reasonably priced. 14 Hands cab at best price: only $6.50..Server Daynna was one of best we've ever had:cheerful, efficient, and attentive.Recommend against outside dining, even tho they offer... I stopped for dinner on a trip to Glacier National Park. The food and service were so outstanding that I stopped again a week later. My server both times, Daynna, helped make the meals memorable. She's cute, with lots of warmth and personality, making the diners feel like family. She clearly enjoys her job, addresses the diner by name if... More

We waited nearly an hour for entrees to arrive. Onion rings were overdone , greasy. Entree Salad was overdressed and stingy with the pear. Presentation was marginal. Salad bowl felt dirty on underside. Why do restaurants give you a choice of gloppy mashed potatoes or starchy white rice? Gluelike in this case. Halibut was fine as was house salad. Generally... Great local, fresh food. All five of our meals were top notch. Service was excellent. Our server had a strong knowledge of the wine and beer. We liked that the owner visited at the end of the meal.

We greatly enjoyed our meal at Stillwater Fish House. The miso butterfish (a signature dish) was rated highly by all three who ordered it. The halibut was fresh and cooked just right. The wine list features several nice ones at very reasonable prices and some good ones at $20/bottle - unusual for most nice restaurants. Service was friendly and helpful... More

We started with a dozen assorted oysters which were fresh and briny, but I was disappointed in the sauces. I still prefer horseradish and cocktail sauce with oysters. I had the roasted halibut over sticky rice, with asparagus. This dish was excellent, the fish was flakey and perfectly cooked. I had a very good sake to accompany. It was 18... More

I have long believed that seafood restaurants, by and large, which are more than 300 miles from the ocean, are generally questionable. This restaurant is an exception. The fish (black cod and halibut, in our case) were both very fresh, very tasty. We visited on a busy Saturday night, and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, but the food was... More
