We were very impressed with the BBq shack. We stopped by the other evening and had a great experience. Fresh blackened fish and awesome fresh BBQ brisket. This is not fine dining nor do they try to be. Just good food period.

I had pulled pork & my husband had a potato stuffed with brisket. Delicious! large portions and not pricey. Had a nice conversation with one of the owners...they are going to relocate in Kalispell. The current location is a "tired" fast food spot so I think the move will increase the appeal.

The atmosphere was amazing, the food above and beyond, and it was great to be greeted by a true southern boy! Loved everything!

We love visiting Whitefish, and we like to try new restaurants when we're here. As frequent trip advisor users, we should've checked out the reviews before dining. Food was a major disappointment, service was lacking at best and there's zero atmosphere. Mentioned our overall disappointment and it was shrugged off.

We wondered into the shak hungry and not wanting a formal dining experience. While the food was okay and we did leave satisfied, we found the service unfriendly at best. We sat outside and had to wash off the seats and tables which were filthy, even though the restaurant was empty and the staff had nothing to do. Once we... More

You may have a long wait for it because they cook it when you order it and it obviously isn't in a deep fryer. Really tasty. We picked up a to-go order on the way back to the condo and loved every bite as we sat on our balcony on Big Mountain enjoying the view.

I have to say I was willing to give this place a try even though TripAdv has it rated close to the top and not int he top ten. I have to say TA has it wrong. This should not be ranked ANYWHERE near the top 15 - more like the bottom 15. Lets put things into persepctive - you... More

A quick response to this post, first to say the meal was indelible then compliment certain items is a bit contradictory, beans good, pork good. Second, since we bug customers on how their meal is you would think that if you spent $70 you would ask for something different! Saying nothing gives us no opportunity to correct a problem and... The barbecue was good, but the restaurant could have been cared for a bit better. We might have hit them at a bad time, but we found it to be overly hot and could have used a thorough cleaning. They were very busy and the locals seemed to love it, however, since we live in Texas, we expect GREAT barbecue.... More
