Pescado Blanco: Mountain Mexican KitchenThe cuisine we are creating is not like the typical Mexican fare you may have had before. We gather our culinary style from a geographical region extending from Southern Mexico to Northern Montana developing a unique mountain Mexican fusion. All of our menu items are handmade from the fresh salsas to the hand-pressed tortillas. This restaurant is about using fresh, local, seasonal ingredients and blending flavors and the cultures.

Good Mexican food in the mountains

Last night my wife and I enjoyed good Mexican food at this restaurant after a day of hiking in Glacier National Park. I had a chicken enchilada, and my wife had tacos. We shared some guacamole dip. I had an IPA draft. Our dishes were tasty, the service was good, and the chips were excellent.

Nice dining room and friendly wait staff. Menu has some standards but most offerings have a twist. For example, Elk Chorizo Tacos. Good selection of beer and wine. Sangria and margaritas contain nothing stronger that malt beverage...no liquor license. Hoping to be able to choose an alternative mexican style restaurant next time we are in Whitefish.

We ate here at the recommendation of folks at the inn we were staying in at Whitefish. It was so good the first evening, we returned for an encore the next night. Food here is excellent and reasonably priced. We had Carnitas and Halibut tacos the first evening. Repeated the Carnitas tacos but also had Bison Enchiladas the second. The... More

We are always seeking excellent Mexican food with good vegetarian options and Pescado Blanco did not disappoint. The vegetarian enchiladas were among the best I've eaten. The chips and salsa at Pescado Blanco were also outstanding. There is a good wine and beer selection. We were way too stuffed to try the desserts. We would definitely return if we were... More

Normally a review involving a poor hostess who was obviously abandoned by her wait staff would be a negative one. There was no bus staff at all and she was left to bus all the tables herself while trying to juggle her hostessing duties. She persevered with quiet and calm determination, dealing with many customers who were not pleased by... More

We had a sublime dinner 8/14. The ahi was a delightful combination of texture and flavor. My wife's chili Verde enchilada was done very well. Queso fundito was a nice blend of tasty cheese with just a bit of kick. Chips were fresh as was the tea. In 6 days in Whitefish, this was by far the best restaurant meal... More

Ten family members arrived last night a little after eight and were told it would be an hour and a half until we could be seated. We could see two five tops in the closest dining room, so we told the hostess we could be split. She reluctantly said that she would see what she could do. After about 30... More

Originally from Texas I have stayed away from Montana Mexican Food. Well thank goodness our friends pressured us to try Pescado Blanco (white fish - smile). Good food, great salsa, varied menu, interesting but good wine list, great margaritas. If the chips accidentally come out cold, just ask for warm ones.
