Good Start To Our Yellowstone Stay

We arrived in West Yellowstone late on a Saturday afternoon. After checking in at our hotel, we went looking for a place to eat. Based on TA reviews, we decided on the Geyser Grill. This place is not located in the "downtown" area, but is worth the effort to get out to the west side of town. We... read more

The first night in West Yellowstone we got take out meals at Geyser Grill. Burgers were OK, the person who had the meatloaf special said it was the best he ever had. Paid for a salad upgrade to replace fries, never got it nor did we get the fries. Ordered again another night, this time 3 got the trout special,... More

Had a steak here, that was unfortunately very, very tough. Service was good, staff was nice and very friendly; food was well prepared and not overcooked, just was a tough sirloin. Really, really tough.

This place was recommended by the motel owner as a good dinner location. The hamburger we had was very good and the prices were cheaper that those in the restaurants closer to the main street. The staff was very friendly and our meals were served quickly. The only downside was they don't serve Coke products. The décor was very minimal... More

What a reasonably priced restaurant in pricey West Yellowstone. The salad was fresh, local sourced, as well as the bison and trout. Dessert was awesome, too. The chocolate brownie al la mode is enough for 2 to share and oh, so memorable.

The lady at the place we were staying at recommended this after I asked for something moderately priced. The three of us had soup and salad with no drinks. Salads were nothing to brag about and soup was not all that great. For $50 I would have expected better even for a tourist town.

We chose this restaurant for its location close to our inn so expectations weren't high. On arrival, we expected to wait but were given their largest table just for the two of us so we didn't have to. The Buffalo steaks were perfectly cooked, the deserts were good home cooking style, the waiter was helpful and attentive and we left... More

The Geyser Grill is one of the first places to see coming into West Yellowstone on 20. We had the trout and prime rib. Both were very good and the service was great.

The Geyser Grill seems to be one of the few places in West Yellowstone that is largely patronized by locals. That being said, the ownership may have little reason to improve the ambience or the standard fare. It is in a nice looking building, but doesn't have a lot of seating once inside. When we were there, there was a... More
