Just meh.

Pretty vanilla.....Okay breakfast, but nothing out of the ordinary. Service was pleasant, and that was a saving grace. Just kind of ordinary fare, but for a quick bite, fine.

Service was pleasant and timely. The food offered is basic home cooking. Nothing fanc but good for what it is.

By the time we got here, I was ready to get back to eating a little lighter, so had the soup and salad bar. The split pea soup was really, really, really good. And the chicken salad (which I had at the salad bar, but you could get separately) was perfect. If this had been our first night's dinner, I... More

We spent 5 days in Yellowstone and had breakfast there every day. The first day was so good we decided not to further explore and sample the other restaurants. We sampled a variety of breakfast offerings and everything was great. My wife made a comment if the Outpost were in our area ,she would never cook breakfast again. The wait... More

after a long day inside YNP this is good place to eat and relax. it is family own and family operated. the waitress was attentive food is very good comfort food. I had the chicken very tasty and wife had open faced beef sandwich. price is about the norm around the town. before you leave you MUST have a piece... More

Why wait hours for a good breakfast and service. After going to the Running Bear, I couldn't understand why anyone would want to wait an hour and fight for parking when the Outpost offers both great food and service. We were greeted and seated immediately. The service was excellent as our server was prompt and attentive. They also had a... More

We were only making a quick trip to West Yellowstone to visit the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center. After our visit we came to this restaurant and went in for lunch. The fish and chips were good enjoyable. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere with interesting memorabilia displayed on the walls. The server was helpful and friendly and the service... More

Pretty standard fare with nice very fresh and tasty salad/soup bar. Reasonably priced. Hubby had the daily special, bbq beef rib platter...huge rib portion w fries & cole slaw for around $15. They are a little inflexible with menu, i.e. would not "change up" from fries to onion rings" even for additional price. Onion ring order always separate...period. But try... More

I have to agree with a lot of other reviewers about this restaurant. While there's nothing bad to report, there isn't anything to praise either. The food was good, the service was good, good location right in the shopping 'district' of town, but nothing spectacular. Ps. One slight negative: this restaurant is nothing but booths and if you're a big... More

The restaurant was open and we were hungry so we ate here. The food was nothing spectacular and greeting from the “maître de” was lackluster. The salad bar was pitiful. I had a chicken salad which was not all that bad. My wife’s meal was boring. I would not eat here again since I know there are other places I... More
