Move over New York - This is the real deal.

Most restaurants in the WYS area are full of greasy, buttery, meat-y food. And these were places with 4+stars on TA and yelp. So..with great trepidation we tried Cafe Madriz. Oh boy. Excellent service. Outdoor seating. Food? Man. Cheese and meat platter - fantastic. Steak on a stone - hubby said... read more

The food is excellent. Service is good. Tried the Nan bread (brushetta) and garlic shrimp - very good.A European style of eating. Much lighter and healthier!

Enough of having steaks and burgers. In Yellowstone west Cafe Madriz is remarkable. Spanish food with a twist. Very tasteful, friendly staff. Don't forget the to order the frying pig. A small bbq at your table.

Took my college age son here for dinner. Had a racion de queso starter and paella for two. Overall food was good. Nice selection of wines by the glass. The service was really slow. Had to go inside to ask for the check as server never came back after bringing the food. If you are eating dinner outside take a... More

After spending 3 days in Yellowstone, we're ready for a real meal. Looked at Trip Advisor and thought to give it a try. Boy, was it good. Waited 30 min for a table! Got sites and looked at the menu - here we go, Spain it is! We really liked the tapas, especially the garlic shrimp (hot), and golden fried... More

Very good tapas. Excellent atmosphere. Nice service. Not too expensive for the quality of the food served.

It's not often that you run into actual haute cuisine in a tourist town. Cafe Madriz was a good find. Despite the long wait (45 mins and they don't take reservations), the service was good. They seat people up to their listed closing time. As for the food, the pork skewers were a bit rich (1 order would have been... More

Our first Tapas experience and it was very interesting. Had the onion soup. I wish they would give out the recipe! Also the Pan Con Tomate with ham, Manchego (sp) cheese plate and the chorizo kebabs. All very good and by sharing we were filled. Highly recommend it and we walked across the street from the Best Western on Canyon!

Found this on TripAdvisor whilst on holiday in West Yellowstone. Four adults and two children. What a gem. The tapas is delicious and the choice is amazing, something for every taste including children. Freshly cooked by the lady chef/owner it was a real treat to eat there. The dishes came a few at a time, served by a really nice... More

We love Cafe Madriz! I have several favorite dishes on the menu and am delighted that the Chef has added a few new items every summer. The wine list is amazing, definitely order the spinach salad! The Staff is always friendly and the restaurant is clean and well maintained. Several of my clients eat here every night they are in... More
