Unexpectedly great Mexican food in West Yellowstone

This is a funky restaurant but one that will impress anyone who doubts Wyoming can have good Mexican food. The owner and his family run things, and they take personal pride in their work that shows in the food and their overall friendliness. This is a funky restaurant but one that will impress anyone who doubts Wyoming can have good Mexican food. The owner and his family run things, and they take personal pride in their work that shows in the food and their overall friendliness. I ate here consistently during a 5-day stay and enjoyed every meal. The prices are very non-tourist-trap,... More

What a find! Authentic and we are tough to please when it comes to Mexican food. Fast service and several picnic tables with umbrellas outside and bench seating along the sides inside. Tacos were great. No chips and salsa but the market was around the corner...they were fine with us supplementing with something they did not offer. Really good all... More

Unique dining experience we had to try out. Kids liked sticking their hands out of the window. Food seemed more traditional Mexican more than tex-mex which was good. Pickled carrots were good but a bit spicy for kids. Kinda silly you had to pay for water. If we knew that we would have brought our own. 6 tacos were a... More

Tex-Mex is our favorite family cuisine and Las Palmitas clearly sets a high standard. YES, it is a food truck with picnic table seating outside and limited standing room inside, and NO they are not passing out free Chip & Salsa. But, if you are looking for "real" and "authentic" Tex Mex food, get onto this bus and enjoy your... More

We opted to try Las Palmitas Mexican Food bus for lunch today, big disappointment. The menu advertised Chimichangas with choice of beef or chicken. I ordered one with beef. What I got was a grilled burrito with 95% beans and 5% beef but I couldn't tell if it was really beef. Chimichangas are supposed to be deep fried, not grilled.... More

I had enchiladas and my husband had fajitas. After several disappointing meals in the area, we were pleasantly surprised by this meal. The sauces were particularly tasty and there was plenty of food. We took our meals back to our hotel close by. The bus is a little small inside but they put out some great food. Prices for dinner... More

We had high hopes for this little place - we've had great food at a number of food trucks, but this wasn't one of the good ones. I got chicken fajitas and they were very bland - it didn't taste as though there were any seasonings used, not even salt, and the chicken had a strange texture. The rice was... More

We had heard great things about this place and the food was great. They were out of chicken and were a bit shorthanded. They changed our order a bit during cooking but were able to resolve it (although not without a sarcastic comment from the girl working). Overall good experience and something a bit different.

We found this fabulous restaurant (taco bus!) during our last trip and were pleased to see it was still serving delicious food three years later. Excellent!

The food was so good. We ate inside the bus and heard many repeat customers come in. There is seating outside. Authentic Mexican bottled soft drinks. Must eat place!
