We've stopped at KT every fall for the passed 5 years - some of the best "takeaway" food I've had. Unfortunately, when we stopped there last week, we discovered that it is closed and, we understand, the building has been sold.

This is a small eatery in West Yellowstone. The owner is from New Zealand and has razor sharp wit and a sarcastic sense of humor - takes a little getting used to - but she really is a very nice person. Burgers are delicious! Especially New Zealand style - which made her happy. She likes to banter with the customers... More

I had very limited time for a one day visit to Yellowstone NP and wanted to get the best buffalo (bison) burger I could get my mouth around when passing through West Yellowstone, Montana. I read reviews about this place but must admit the bad reviews actually attracted me as much as the good burger reviews. I like little hole... More

If you happen to be going through West Yellowstone I would recommend you stop by and try the Kiwi restaurant. I had read several reviews on TA about the owner being rude etc....We had the opposite experience. The tables are situated such that you can see the kitchen and the owner as she does her magic. She was chatting with... More

Read the other reviews, and they say the owner is slightly crazy, etc. nope, she is rude and hasn't had her butt whipped,in a while! Made a 5 year old girl cry next to us because the kid was twitching on her stool. I couldn't believe the mom and dad just let it slide. She should have been cooking and... More

I took my extended family to this restaurant on the recommendation of a local. In fairness, I was warned, but never in my life have I encountered such a combative proprietor/cook/server. The minute I walked in to her empty restaurant, the lecturing and confrontations began. It reached a crescendo when after being served two carafes of water and six glasses... More

Great pulled pork sandwich and fresh coleslaw. Actually, all of the food is good. The owner is a great cook. She is also slightly crazy, but that's why we like her. The owner is a character to say the least. I eat here for the show as much as the food. The owner simply speaks her mind and some folks... More
