Tried to eat there two separate days (lunch/dinner) and closed both times even though there was an open sign in the window the 1st time and the door was open the second time. Owner stated she only operates when busy.

We just got back to West Yellowstone to begin our summer jobs and headed over to Kiwi'z for lunch. It was just as I had remembered it from last summer. The burger was piled high, almost to the point of not being able to open your mouth wide enough to eat! My wife got the last buffalo meat pie of...

We had to stop in seeing how we are aussies. We tried the buffalo pies & they are wonderful. The owner is friendly & makes you feel welcome. They sell fish 'n' chips, pies , sausage rolls & burgers . There is outdoor seating & plenty of seating inside. We are definately going back while we stay in West Yellowstone.
Great place to have a burger or probably anything else she has on the menu. Open 7 AM to 3 ish. The gal was running the place by herself and does a very nice job.
This place may look small and un inviting but it is nothing of the sort. We were greeted in a friendly manner and served wonderful food that everyone was happy with. The portions were large and the food delicious. My son even had a buffalo burger and enjoyed every bite!
Small, casual eatery that was one of the few places in West Yellowstone open during our winter visit. Extremely nice person at the counter. Goes out of her way to make sure you are happy. Limited menu of soup and sandwiches that can be eaten there or for take-out. The fish and chips and hamburger were very good. Note that...

The resident Kiwi, Ally, is a fascinating and entertaining lady who runs the place by herself and puts out really good food. BTW, it is no longer called Kiwi's Takeway--merely Kiwi's. There are several tables and a counter. We stopped in as a group of ten and she served us well and quickly and had the whole group laughing before,...

My wife and I worked in West Yellowstone this past summer and Kiwi's was a must for a weekly visit. The burgers, hand pattied and grilled, are great and the best value in town. It was hard to make a choice with the fish and chips, meat pies and burgers. The meat pies varied from day to day but get...

I only have two regrets here:
1. I didn't get bacon and avocado on my burger.
2. We didn't try the meat pies.
We created an instant connection (being somewhat neighbours from Australia). Apart from the conversation, and the great service, the food was really good. The chips (fries) were just like from Oz, realy chunky bits of potato. The...

the sandwich was fine and the New Zealand touches were nice but the cares of the world ( the owner's sad experiences w/ America and men and tourists) intruded too much into the lunch; we did try and go back a second time though to give her another chance (the buffalo burgers were the best we'd had in the area)...
