The resident Kiwi, Ally, is a fascinating and entertaining lady who runs the place by herself and puts out really good food. BTW, it is no longer called Kiwi's Takeway--merely Kiwi's. There are several tables and a counter. We stopped in as a group of ten and she served us well and quickly and had the whole group laughing before,... More

My wife and I worked in West Yellowstone this past summer and Kiwi's was a must for a weekly visit. The burgers, hand pattied and grilled, are great and the best value in town. It was hard to make a choice with the fish and chips, meat pies and burgers. The meat pies varied from day to day but get... More

I only have two regrets here: 1. I didn't get bacon and avocado on my burger. 2. We didn't try the meat pies. We created an instant connection (being somewhat neighbours from Australia). Apart from the conversation, and the great service, the food was really good. The chips (fries) were just like from Oz, realy chunky bits of potato. The... More

the sandwich was fine and the New Zealand touches were nice but the cares of the world ( the owner's sad experiences w/ America and men and tourists) intruded too much into the lunch; we did try and go back a second time though to give her another chance (the buffalo burgers were the best we'd had in the area)... The food is phenomenal. I ordered a burger with fresh jalapenos because I love spicy foods. It was amazing. The food is fantastic. It's just a tiny hole in the wall, nothing fancy, and it's about 2 or 3 blocks away from the tourist strip. More

Visited West Yellowstone, touring shops, checking menus, decided to go back to small place seen on way into town. Kiwi's was very comfortable, & buffalo burger & fries were very good. We are looking forward to trying the Meat pies. The owner was very personable & fun. Enjoyed our visit. More

As a seasonal employee at the park, the search for anything-other-than-employee-dining-room-food is a constant endeavor. I'd heard from several locals/regulars that the trip from Mammoth to West Yellowstone would be well worth it for the most awesome burgers around, and let me just say - YES. Yes, we have found our burger place. We arrived to a handwritten greeting -... More

Based on the high reviews on Trip Advisor, we were excited to eat dinner here. Unfortunately, we didn't feel it lived up to the billing. I had the fish and chips, the fish was fair, chips were great - best thing we ate. Husband had calamari which he felt was excellent for inexpensive calamari. Kids had a large bison burger... More
