Worth the wait

A tiny little place filled with books and miscellaneous items that are surely dear to the owner. Signs on the front door forewarn you that you will wait as it is not a fast food establishment. That is very true and we did wait quite awhile. That being said when the food came out the wait seemed... read more

Deb always treats you right. I love eating here whenever I'm in town. This last visit I ordered the fruit plate. What a treat! Plum, cantaloupe, strawberries, huckleberries, honey dew, pineapple, mango, peach, nectarine and avocado. All arranged in a very attractive way. Wow! She always does it up really special. If you order a sandwich you are really in... More

Every time we get to Thompson Falls, Little Bear is at the top of our list. Soups, sandwiches, salads, smoothies and specialty ice creams. You get huge portions for your money which is why the 2 of us split a meal. If you want to see something truly amazing, it is the banana split which is big enough for 4... More

The food is all home made by a skilled chef. The wait time is slow but you are getting fresh prepared food. No microwaving here. Their soups are delicious, especially their seafood offering. Great sandwiches, and their coleslaw is out of this world. Of course their ice cream bar is AAA.

Whenever we pass through Thompson Falls, we stop for ice cream at Little Bear. The choices are mind-boggling. Because this is it a fast food establishment, the orders are made with care and attention to detail. I am a chocolate and nut ice cream person. The last time I was there! I ordered a chola the and almond double scoop... More

We stopped in for a sandwich and the sign on the door says this is not fast food. They are right. Only 2 other tables were occupied and were there when we arrived. We ordered a bowl of soup and a cold sandwich. After about 50 minutes with no sign of food in sight, I went up to the waitress... More

Little Bear is situated on the side of the Flathead river.Outdoor seating is available and a few tables inside also. It is a small operation and as the sign says when you walk in expect to have a long wait for even just a sandwich. The food was average, contrary to what I had been told. The wait for my... More

This store was extremely cluttered to the point of almost being forced to sit outside. I went in for a turtle sundae and although the portion sizes are good the sundae was over powered by the fudge and carmel. The people we were staying with recommended them for there ice cream and I probably should have stuck with something a... More
