We recently traveled to Glacier National Park and stayed in the St. Mary's area at East Glacier. I had read wonderful reviews about this restaurant and decided it was a must try for us. WOW! Were they right. We LOVED eating at this place sooo much that we had both dinner and breakfast there. The restaurants decor was so much... More

All the food that was cooked there varied from very good to excellent as we saw over the five meals that we ate there. Some of their baked goods, which may or may not be made there, were really below the standard. The brownie in the sundae was so hard a fork could not be forced into it even when... More

Loved this place. The staff were friendly the food plentiful and the surroundings homely. You have got to try the Huckleberry Icecream Pie, i dare you!

The story of how this place came to be is one you'll enjoy reading while waiting for some good home cooked food. "Good soup" will be the answer when you ask what is in the soup. The menu is simple and the food is tasty. One note - no beer or wine is served or allowed.

We were exploring in the Glacier Park area....and very hungry. Johnson's reeled us in with their ample signage. The décor is rustic, the interior was very warm and cozy, the help mostly young and very friendly as well as helpful and attentive. But oh..........the soup and freshly made bread! Heaven. We returned two or three nights later and had the... More

Our bus tour group (all 44 of us) descended on this wonderful little restaurant for lunch. We were served family style with steaming bowls of beef barley and chicken and rice soup. We had a selection of ham and cheese and chicken salad sandwiches. Dessert was huckleberry ice cream. The servers were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.... More

My wife and I spent a week in Glacier N.P., sleeping and cooking in the woods for 3 days and enjoying it. The last two nights we spent in a hotel and trusted the word of the locals. They were so right about the quality and service of this neat log café. It does cost a little higher since you... More

I've been several times, for soup and dessert. Yum! Last June I drove from Waterton Park, (Wildflower Festival) my sister, neice, and a friend from Nova Scotia, just for a dessert Run😉! My neice ordered the Huckleberry Ice Cream pie! I knew it was huge! We laughed and laughed, at the look on my niece's face. But she enjoyed it!... More

We went to this restaurant after spending the day at Glacier Nat. Park in Sept., 2013. The servers are friendly. We had their "good" soup (bean & bacon) that is very hearty, fried chicken & mashed potatoes. The food is served family style to allow everyone at the table to share. We had homemade apple pie for dessert - portion... More

We had eaten here eight years ago on our honeymoon and had fond memories of it. So when we got back to Glacier, we made a point to come back. Neither of us were impressed, and felt it had gone downhill in the years between. Rather than quaint and woodsy, the place looks like it hadn't had a dollar put... More
