Home style meals

Johnson's packs in visitors to the St Mary's area with their home-style service - there's always a special that comes with soup, bread, and sides. The service is exceptional.

We were camping next door and so went here for lunch. Wow! The food was terrific. Loved the homemade soup and croutons. Shared a HUGE piece of huckleberry ice cream pie. We would stop again, for sure!

Randomly heard about this restaurant on the trail. Never would have gone here on our own, as its in a campground/RV park. SO glad we did. It was a blast with fantastic food! Our group of 9 -- 6 adults, 3 kids -- had a fabulous lunch. Highly recommend stopping here, especially on way to Many Glacier or if you... More

I almost hate to share this on Tripadvisor because I don't want to out the best secret on the east side of Glacier National Park. The food here is better than your grandma made. So good. Great people. Great history. Don't miss it.

We ate there twice during our trip this Summer. The first meal was great (except the frozen chicken--it's only made fresh on Sundays.) The second meal the manager (older lady) was extremely rude to my wife, daughter and myself. If it wasn't for our kids I would have told her off and left. The good news is, she saw I... More

Great place to get full on good food after hiking in beautiful Glacier National Park. The Good Soup hit the spot on a cool evening. Enjoyed the history and the rustic atmosphere.

Loved the quirkiness of the inside. The menu is varied and priced well. I ordered a vegetable sandwich for lunch and it was really good. Piled high and overflowing with vegies! I would return.

The service is incredible, obviously run by a family with lots of love and cooperation. We came one night for dessert and one morning for breakfast...both were excellent. The place is crowded so get there early, as this is the place where the locals come to (so you know its good). They have a great view from their property, but... More

At the recommendation of a friend ate here twice, a dinner (where the bread and soup were great, but the meal was nothing to write home about), and breakfast the next morning which was very good. I'd do breakfast again, but pass on dinner.
