We ate at Johnson's 3 times while we were in Glacier and the service was okay 2 out of the 3 times we ate there. One time it took a long time to get out food. WHen the fellow brought out my bacon burger he forgot the bacon and later brought about double the portion it usually gets. I would... More

We arrived for dinner a bit after 5pm and there was only one other couple seated. By the time we ordered, there was a line out the door. Clearly the word was out. The menu lists only one kind of soup, "good". This evening it was beef lentil and was the best ever. We tried the bison burger to see... More

We stopped for a late lunch. My Johnson burger (protein style) was so yummy. People next to use had the barley soup and home made bread, if looked amazing. I discovered that the cinnamon roll was homemade as well. I decided to try it. Omg it was amazing so much so we came back the next night and broke all... More

Sounds like service quality can vary, but it was excellent the night we visited. It isn't that big, so you may need to wait during prime time. Be sure you get the "Good Soup"--as the menu says, "don't pester your server asking abut it's ingredients--all we serve is Good Soup" (our waitress called it beef barley). The fresh bread was... We stopped in here for dinner after touring around Glacier National Park because there were so many great reviews on Trip Advisor. Bad Choice!! The man who begrudgingly greeted us at the door and who we took to be the Manager seated us in a back room. There were only two other tables occupied back there, which was fine, but... More

The surprise of our Glacier trip followed the boat ride at Lake St. Mary. The night before we had asked Red Bus driver Keith about dining choice, between the Babb Bar Cattle Baron Supper Club and Johnson’s café. We chose the latter, and we we grateful. The décor is basic Montana Roadside Café. Great directions to the Outhouse “ 8... More

We stopped here while on vacation for some breakfast. We were not disappointed. The food was all amazing. The pancakes were unanimously the best we had ever had. The family style portions are large, so bring an appetite. Service was friendly and prompt. The inside of the restaurant is like a museum as well. There is all kinds of historical... More

This was the worst breakfast of our 9 day trip! We had to ask them to wipe our table as it had smeared food from some other time. We were the first people there for breakfast and the last severed. I could go on but I think you get the picture.

As is their tradition, Johnson's Cafe serves large family-style portions of food for a very reasonable price. It's not fancy or exotic food, but it's a great breakfast for starting off a full day at the park. Be aware though, the restaurant doesn't open until 8 am (at least on Sundays, we couldn't find any sign indicating what the regular... More

We enjoyed breakfast at Johnson's Cafe. It is a cute place with a quaint log cabin atmosphere. The food was good, though service wasn't the fastest. We were there early so we got right in, but there was a line waiting out the door when we left. It is obviously a popular spot!
