Rustically Delicious

This place is as authentic as it gets. Johnson's has been in business for 65 years and is housed in a 1940s log cabin whose walls are festooned with antiques. It has been in the same family for three generations. The food is down-home good and is served family style. I had the special... read more

OMG….we found this place by accident and the food was great. Homemade fresh bread, soup and great dinner options. Went back the next day for breakfast. It was all about the Bread!

We were there with my 80 something in-laws and they are not into games like "Don't ask what the soup is made of" and a main meal that is a mystery until you get it. The waitress seemed to think we were all in our teens rather than 50s and 80s. She basically, mocked my in-laws as they asked about... More

We stopped here for lunch and we were not disappointed. It was recommended by a local. Their homemade soup was excellent. We both had a sandwich and the soup and we left very full! We loved all the memorabilia they had collected through the years. They have a "sign in" sheet if you want to note where you are traveling... More

This was the highest ranked restaurant on trip advisor in St. Marys. All I can say is I would hate to eat at the rest then. The service was inattentive. The food was mediocre, and as mentioned in other reviews, overpriced. A group with food allergies at another table (we didn't know them) were treated poorly. The waitress seemed like... More

We were staying at St. Mary Lodge and one night the kitchen vents stopped working, they couldn't serve any hot food items, so we went over to Johnson's Cafe. We ordered Huckleberry Cream Soda, which was not bad, but it was just huckleberry jam with ice cubes and whipped cream from a can. Dinner bread came which looked like corn... More

Johnson's is located at the east entrance to Glacier National Park and caters to park visitors, especially families and groups. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served, but my only experience was with dinners. Every night there is a homestyle special which includes meat, potatoes, cole slaw, and homemade soup. The menu includes other dinners as well as salads and sandwiches.... More

Friendly service with family style table service. Food was good and most received positive comments from members of our group. Was a bit crowded for group of 8 but we made do.

Had a wonderful breakfast at Johnson's. The linked sausage and hash browns were served family style. The bread was homemade, and great. My wife had a homemade cinnamon sticky roll, which was the best ever.
