Sorry service from Loral (?) the food quality was fair at best but the service was so bad. They wouldn't take the food back to be re-done and she wouldn't listen to us about it or the fact that we needed more coffee . Not a good experience

We were staying at Rock Creek Lodge and after a day of travel and hiking wanted ease in dining location. Lady at the front desk told us this is "where the locals go for a good meal". When we entered the woman at the bar was a bit snippy to us but we were seated by a more accommodating person... More

We have been going back to the Old Piney Dell since 1989 and still love to come here. We were in town on a Friday evening and I was dismayed by the low numbers in attendance for dinner. They have always had excellent food and this time was great too. I hope that they continue to stick around!

Three of us went to the Old Piney Dell because our hotel suggested it. What a quaint surprise! Just outside of Red Lodge on the Beartooth Highway - a little place in the Rock Creek Resort. The hostess was reluctant to seat us because they had 2 large groups. But, she did with a request that we be patient. After... More

We had a flat tire on the way to dinner but made it on time for our reservations! While ordering drinks from our waitress, Laurel, we mentioned our tire woes. Laurel went out of her way to try to find help for us before we were to leave town the next day. Our food was fabulous too! I had prime... More

Piney Dell has a mountain cabin atmosphere overlooking Rock Creek. We had a nice view of the creek while snow was falling. The Walleye was grilled, moist, flaky and delicious. My wife had trout without bones baked in parchment paper with leeks, carrots, snow peas and crab. We had lava cake for desert. Piney Dell is well worth the drive... More

We are in the area for two weeks and had looked forward to this visit, but it did not live up to expectations. I had a daily special of chicken with tortellini in a "creamy sauce". There was not much sauce in evidence. This dish was very dry and tasteless, and too expensive at about $24. My husband's veal schnitzel... More

I just ate the most delicious steak I ever had at the Old Piney Dell. It was a flavorful tenderloin served with mashed sweet potatoes and an al dente side of green beans and red onions. The waitress was fantastic, providing exceptional service. I eat here every time I stay at the Rock Creek Resort and the food and service... More

The meal was outstanding! I could not decide between the shrimp pasta or stuffed chicken breast, so asked our server what she thought, she said the chicken. It was delicious! My boyfriend had the salmon, I think it had a BBQ glaze on it...wow, very good! The service here was excellent! Will be returning!
