Nice Stop

Stopped in for a beer before dinner. Great bartender who offered samples of the various beers on tap. Once we decided on the Reserve Ale it was nice to have the choice of a full pour (16oz) or a short pour (10oz). Service was top notch.

One of the reasons we stopped in Red Lodge for the night was to enjoy some of Red Lodge Ales' brews. We're craft beer lovers and liked what we had last year so much we bought a growler of doppelbock last summer, iced it down, and took it back to Chicago with us. We returned, empty growler in hand, hoping... More

We arrived in Red Lodge two days ago after the awesome and harrowing drive on the Beartooth Highway. My husband needed a drink! And I needed lunch. We had a great lunch. My husband enjoyed the craft beer. We missed the BBQ because this was a late lunch. They were already smoking tomorrow's meat and it smelled great. We were... More

Really enjoy this fine establishment. When ever my friends and I come to Red Lodge Sams Tap room is the first stop and the last. Friendly kind helpful knowledgable staff. Great people to be around . The food is so good. I highly recommend the skinny dip and a easy Sippa. Family friendly. It's worth the stop.

Anyone who has given Sam's Tap Room less than "Very Good" either doesn't like beer or drank too much of the delicious beer on tap. That's a fact. This local brewery offers a delightful assortment of microbrews and food. When the weather is nice, there is a great open patio and yard which is fenced in if you decide to... More

Red Lodge Ales makes truly outstanding beers. I have found over the years that the Bent Nail IPA is as good as any I have ever had, anywhere. The tap room serves all their year round beers as well as all seasonal and speciality beers. Unfortunately the day we were there the kitchen was closed due to "technical issues" hence... More

We walked in not knowing what to expect. As soon as we entered, the music and the people had me wishing that I never had to leave. The service is superb. This is a great place for some of the best beers and fantastic sandwiches. If you are on your way to Yellowstone from Billings, make sure to make this... More

We went here for lunch and a few beers. So good had to come back for a second visit. I had the pastrami and it was very good. We also had several other sandwiches including the angry bird. All were great. Atmosphere is great, I love microbrew places like this. We also met several of the locals and they were... More
