Chef-owned and operated, Pearl Cafe is an aptly named jewel of a restaurant serving regional cuisine with a country French accent. The massive beams and peach toned bricks of the historic warehouse provide a warm and inviting atmosphere. Specialties include bison with huckleberry-zinfandel sauce, duckling with dried cherries and pomegranate sauce and beef tenderloin with port and Roquefort. Fresh fish dishes change daily and local products are used whenever possible. The menu is rounded out with a variety of appetizers, soups and salads, house made bread and a list of sinfully delicious desserts. The restaurant serves wine and beer, with a list of 15 wines by the glass, local draft beer, a broad selection of half bottles and over 100 full bottles.

Amazing food in a beautiful environment

This was probably the best meal we have eaten outside of Europe since we moved to North America 14 years ago and it is the first time I have awarded a restaurant anywhere an "excellent" rating. Lovely little spot in downtown Missoula. My wife and I had dinner there on a Wednesday night, and it was quiet. I can see where the restaurant could get noisy on a busy night or weekend, but for us it was fantastic. I like old buildings, and this one was a fantastic spot for restaurant. Service was okay, the food... More

If you want excellent cuisine presented well, you should consider the Pearl. Situated in an historic building, you will find an innovative menu that often offers bison and other less common meats, always tastefully prepared. Service is very good to excellent. Pricing is consistent with the quality.

What a sophisticated yet unstuffy experience. We had really well prepared food and excellent service. We are SO going back. Pearl Cafe has been here for over a decade ... and it is still delivering a great night out.

Like many people all I ever heard about the Pearl Cafe were amazing things. "The food is amazing", "Small town fine dining at its best" so when it was date-night there was no question where we would go. As soon as we entered we were getting strange looks from both staff and patrons. At first we didn't think anything of... More

I had the wonderful pleasure of dining at the classy Pearl's Cafe. The atmosphere is warm and cozy (romantic) but also suitable for a business dinner. The classic filet mignon was very tender and had a nice flavor. Dinner was served with a variety basket of bread and they had a good wine/beer selection too. The server was outstanding and... More
