Description: Chef-owned and operated, Pearl Cafe is an aptly named jewel of a restaurant serving regional cuisine with a country French accent. The massive beams and peach toned bricks of the historic warehouse provide a warm and inviting atmosphere. Specialties include bison with huckleberry-zinfandel sauce, duckling with dried cherries and pomegranate sauce and beef tenderloin with port and Roquefort. Fresh fish dishes change daily and local products are used whenever possible. The menu is rounded out with a variety of appetizers, soups and salads, house made bread and a list of sinfully delicious desserts. Custom wedding and special occasion cakes are produced in the bakery as well. The restaurant serves wine and beer, with a list of 15 wines by the glass, local draft beer, a broad selection of half bottles and over 100 full bottles.

My husband and I had dinner her in May, to celebrate my birthday. Pearl was highly recommended to us for a special evening out. The food was interesting and delicious. The service was outstanding. Next time we are in Missoula, we hope to set aside a night to have dinner at Pearl again.

We have eaten here several times though not real recently. The wine list is fantastic. The food is always exceptional. The service is unsurpassed. Pearl does a fine job.

We've been dining with Pearl since she had the Alley Cat and I've found her places to be among the most consistent in the country. The front staff is just a tad aloof and a little to used to the restaurant's success, but that's the least of your worries if you're looking for a wonderful small venue with great food,... More

We have eaten at the Pearl a number of times, almost always for special occasions. It is one of the best examples of 'fine dining' that Missoula has to offer - and if it was located in a larger city, would compete very well with other fine dining institutions! Staff is courteous and attentive, but not overbearing, food is wonderfully... More

A group of six of us had dinner at Pearl and as always it was superb. Staff are attentive and courteous, menu selections always offer a range of difficult choices, extensive wine list and all of the little details looked after with quiet professionalism. Our group ordered everything from appetizers to dessert and main courses included steaks, seafood stew, prawns,... More

While in Missoula on a business trip I had the pleasure of dining at Pearl's. Can't wait to return someday with my husband who will absolutely love their bread. Atmosphere is romantic yet suitable for a business dinner. The bouillabaisse was perfect as was the salad and berry dessert. Very nice wine selection, too. Highly recommend Pearl's Cafe!

Pearl was recommended to us by some friends, and we were pleased with the service and food. Even though we were a bit under dressed, casual work attire, we were still treated great! The server went above and beyond, I'd elaborate but don't want to get her in trouble! The food was excellent! Even the coffee served in a metal... More

We ended our tour of Idaho and Montana with dinner at Pearl Cafe` a "store front" establishment downtown. The restaurant is handsome-exposed brick and beams. The staff is first rate-attentive and knowledgeable and the food was really good. Wife's rabbitt was tender and lightly seasoned my duck -breast with fruit sauce/ leg confit was perfectly done. Friend's filet with Port... More

Although it is unusual for a restaurant of this caliber to not be allowed to sell liquor, they do sell some amazing wines that pair quite nicely with anything you could order from their amazing and eclectic menu. The staff are super-attentive and seem genuinely glad to serve you. You are never forgotten and they seem to keep an eye... More

We thought the ceviche was excellent. The onion soup was ok but pretty standard. The entre' I had, the filet with port and roquefort was absolutely wonderful and well worth going there for. Desserts were somewhat disappointing. Nice atmosphere, and quieter if you sit upstairs.
