Chef-owned and operated, Pearl Cafe is an aptly named jewel of a restaurant serving regional cuisine with a country French accent. The massive beams and peach toned bricks of the historic warehouse provide a warm and inviting atmosphere. Specialties include bison with huckleberry-zinfandel sauce, duckling with dried cherries and pomegranate sauce and beef tenderloin with port and Roquefort. Fresh fish dishes change daily and local products are used whenever possible. The menu is rounded out with a variety of appetizers, soups and salads, house made bread and a list of sinfully delicious desserts. The restaurant serves wine and beer, with a list of 15 wines by the glass, local draft beer, a broad selection of half bottles and over 100 full bottles.

Don't Believe Everything You Hear

Like many people all I ever heard about the Pearl Cafe were amazing things. "The food is amazing", "Small town fine dining at its best" so when it was date-night there was no question where we would go. As soon as we entered we were getting strange looks from both staff and patrons. At first we... read more

Pearl cafe is our favorite restaurant in Missoula to celebrate special occasions. The menu is always interesting, consistently perfectly cooked food, outstanding service, quiet, and quaint.

I had the wonderful pleasure of dining at the classy Pearl's Cafe. The atmosphere is warm and cozy (romantic) but also suitable for a business dinner. The classic filet mignon was very tender and had a nice flavor. Dinner was served with a variety basket of bread and they had a good wine/beer selection too. The server was outstanding and... More

The Pearl is expensive, but for a special treat it is worth it. The steaks are tender and tasty! Beautiful presentation.

If you are looking for fine dining in a warm and cozy atmosphere, then reserve your table now at Pearl Cafe. My husband and I were looking for a quiet, upscale place to take friends for a special dinner. Pearl Cafe was the best choice. I can't recommend this wonderful restaurant enough. I was almost put off by some of... More

My husband and I had dinner her in May, to celebrate my birthday. Pearl was highly recommended to us for a special evening out. The food was interesting and delicious. The service was outstanding. Next time we are in Missoula, we hope to set aside a night to have dinner at Pearl again.

We have eaten here several times though not real recently. The wine list is fantastic. The food is always exceptional. The service is unsurpassed. Pearl does a fine job.

We've been dining with Pearl since she had the Alley Cat and I've found her places to be among the most consistent in the country. The front staff is just a tad aloof and a little to used to the restaurant's success, but that's the least of your worries if you're looking for a wonderful small venue with great food,... More

We have eaten at the Pearl a number of times, almost always for special occasions. It is one of the best examples of 'fine dining' that Missoula has to offer - and if it was located in a larger city, would compete very well with other fine dining institutions! Staff is courteous and attentive, but not overbearing, food is wonderfully... More

A group of six of us had dinner at Pearl and as always it was superb. Staff are attentive and courteous, menu selections always offer a range of difficult choices, extensive wine list and all of the little details looked after with quiet professionalism. Our group ordered everything from appetizers to dessert and main courses included steaks, seafood stew, prawns,... More
