Description: Chef-owned and operated, Pearl Cafe is an aptly named jewel of a restaurant serving regional cuisine with a country French accent. The massive beams and peach toned bricks of the historic warehouse provide a warm and inviting atmosphere. Specialties include bison with huckleberry-zinfandel sauce, duckling with dried cherries and pomegranate sauce and beef tenderloin with port and Roquefort. Fresh fish dishes change daily and local products are used whenever possible. The menu is rounded out with a variety of appetizers, soups and salads, house made bread and a list of sinfully delicious desserts. Custom wedding and special occasion cakes are produced in the bakery as well. The restaurant serves wine and beer, with a list of 15 wines by the glass, local draft beer, a broad selection of half bottles and over 100 full bottles.

Although it is unusual for a restaurant of this caliber to not be allowed to sell liquor, they do sell some amazing wines that pair quite nicely with anything you could order from their amazing and eclectic menu. The staff are super-attentive and seem genuinely glad to serve you. You are never forgotten and they seem to keep an eye... More

We thought the ceviche was excellent. The onion soup was ok but pretty standard. The entre' I had, the filet with port and roquefort was absolutely wonderful and well worth going there for. Desserts were somewhat disappointing. Nice atmosphere, and quieter if you sit upstairs.

The food was great! It was a very nice restaurant with excellent atmosphere and ambience. It was well priced. Beautiful presentation. The service could have been more attentive but we would definitely recommend it-- the locals seem to love it too!

We've been going to Pearl Cafe for years and not been disappointed. We love the interior. It's cozy and romantic. Music is subtle so you can talk without raising your voice. Service has always been spot on. Good menu choices and the food is always cooked properly with great presentation and delivered by knowledgeable servers. It's a place that has... More

Starting with the neon sign the pearl cafe needs a major interior revamp. The food was delicious and the wine menu had a few great options but the decor and ambiance was very out of date. Our server was absolutely wonderful so our experience was truly great. Don't let the look and feel of the place influence your decision to... More

Went for my birthday and friends anniversary. Great food, great wine, and great service. I want to try more things on the menu. I was told it was very expensive , but I found the prices fair. Most expensive thing on the menu was $37. (Our wines were more than our meals.) Definitely will be returning.

We visit the Bitterroot every July, and never miss dinner at the Pearl. Small, comfortable and conveniently located, the restaurant is Montanan French. Husband likes the classic filet with mashed potatoes, and this year I tried the "seafood stew", a classic Provençal bouillabaisse. Deliciously satisfying. The Pearl's inclusion of a soup or salad with dinner entrées makes this a very... More

Chef/owner Pearl has been serving delectable food in the Missoula Valley for years, but this easy-to-walk-to spot downtown is the best of all. The intimate, softly-lit space still honors "Missoula casual, so while you can dress for an occasion, no need for fussing. The food, of course, is the best reason to come. Delicious entrees with the freshest of ingredients.... More

Thank you, previous Trip Advisor reviewers, for singling out Pearl Cafe, and rating it so highly, a rating that on our sole visit was well-deserved. Pearl herself was there, and as is so often the case, the presence of the proprietor (and executive chef) means that the food is properly prepared and served. Missoula benefits from being the home of... More
