Description: Chef-owned and operated, Pearl Cafe is an aptly named jewel of a restaurant serving regional cuisine with a country French accent. The massive beams and peach toned bricks of the historic warehouse provide a warm and inviting atmosphere. Specialties include bison with huckleberry-zinfandel sauce, duckling with dried cherries and pomegranate sauce and beef tenderloin with port and Roquefort. Fresh fish dishes change daily and local products are used whenever possible. The menu is rounded out with a variety of appetizers, soups and salads, house made bread and a list of sinfully delicious desserts. Custom wedding and special occasion cakes are produced in the bakery as well. The restaurant serves wine and beer, with a list of 15 wines by the glass, local draft beer, a broad selection of half bottles and over 100 full bottles.

This was my 1st trip to this place because I was told so many good things about it but I couldn't have been more disappointed. I live in Texas and wanted to surprise my girl friend who lives in this town so for Valentines day I had prided myself to the fact that I had wisely made reservations at this... More

It's always nice to find a place that has charcuterie on the menu, as that's a nice way to both sample the wares (e.g. bison and chicken pates, duckling prosciutto, and finocchiona) and to whet the appetite. Alaskan halibut roasted fennel potato cake with roasted carrots and chanterelle mushrooms made for a wonderful entree. Delicious!

No liquor license, only beer and wine. Food was very good for what Missoula has to choose from. The wait staff was friendly and professional.

Outstanding dinning experience in Missoula, MT. This "turn of the Century/European" restaurant is a superb destination. The food is spectacular, the service impeccable and the ambiance is absolutely old-world comfort. The pricing is excellent and you receive a full service personal touch, that not many places can recreate for a wonderful experience. Outstanding wine selection and an absolute intriguing array... Missoula has so many great places to eat. We stayed at the Holiday Inn downtown last weekend and the Pearl was just across the parking lot. We got in without a reservation (which you shouldn't try to do!). What a nice place, just gourmet "enough", classy, great unpretentious service. Very well done. Great wine selection.

We just took a quick trip to Missoula from the Puget Sound area and heard from friends to try the Pearl Café for dinner. We were not disappointed. We had rabbit and halibut, and both were done to perfection with wonderful sauces. Desert was a blackberry peach cobbler, which we shared and it too was excellent.

This place would make it in any city we have been to. The pates appetizer was excellent especially the Rabbit pate. On our 3,5 week trip trough 6 US states and British Columbia, this was the 5th time my wife ordered a duck dish and declared this one the best. My Rabbit with red wine mushroom sauce was very good...
