The lunch was very good and the menu varied. The staff was friendly and attentive and the ambience is very pleasant. Not too noisy.

I ate here twice (2nd time not my choice) and had bad good both times. Super greasy veg quesadilla and the 2nd time, one of THE WORST salads (Greek) that I have ever eaten. Terrible lettuce including iceberg and butter (in a Greek salad--or any salad that is $13,no tomatoes, horrible (not Greek) dressing. Generally gross really. Do not recommend... More

I dreamed of Iron Horse nachos for three years while I was away helping my family. What a disappointment to come back to greasy burned chips with bland toppings. No more spicy beans, in fact, it was hard to find a bean on these nachos. The service was bad enough that I tipped less than 15% (as an ex bartender... More

The place has a good vibe, reminded us of a Granite City type establishment. The menu selection was great. The food was good, not great. For example, the spinach artichoke dip could have been creamier. My husband had the bison elk burger and liked it but didn't love it. I had the tempura fish sandwich, which was also fine but... More

The local beer selection was good, and my g&t made with local whyte ladie (sp?) gin was good but the prominent ketchup bottles on the table did not auger well for food. A better place to drink than eat.

I will start with the good part first, the atmosphere here is very college, young and energetic, the decor inside is very cool. The bar is very large. The place is bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. We sat outside and maybe that was a mistake, it took 40 min. to take our food order, just... More

Excellent food, exceeded my expectations. Quick service. Wait staff were ninjas. Wasn't sure if we should seat ourselves or wait to be served. Sat ourselves, and in less than two minutes a waitress materialized with water and menus. I saw one group get up to leave, and in less than two minutes the waitstaff had silently moved in and cleaned... More

My friend and I had a few hours to kill; it was too late for lunch and too early for dinner. Our hotel recommended the Iron Horse Brew Pub. We sat outside, and even though it was sprinkling lightly we were under cover. We shared the Tomato Basil Quesadilla. We were a bit skeptical about a "honey pesto", but we... More

This was our first visit to the Iron Horse Brew Pub and it was packed....a very popular place. Each of the three of us ordered a pasta dish and we all raved about them. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was incredible.....we knew it would be very poor manners to lick our plates. We noticed other meals being... More
