Normally I am a cappuccino fan but yesterday and today I went for the drip coffee at Break Espresso. The coffee both times were very flavorful and a hint of nuttiness. Today I also got one of their baked goodies. I went for an orange cinnamon roll and it was sooooo good and probably sooooo bad for me. Oh well,... More

This is a cool old building and if you get here early enough there are plenty of pastries and other things to choose from. The food is good but the service is gruff. Get coffee elsewhere because it just takes forever to get anything other than a plain cup of coffee. It is often hard to find a seat as... More

Cool building but that's where it ends. Very poor customer service! Seems the girls at the counter don't like their jobs. Coffee was ok, pastries were dry. Too many other choices in this town, go try one of those.

Stopped here on a daylong drive from Yellowstone to Seattle. My boyfriend had stopped here when he had made the trip across country a few years ago and remembered this place. Great atmosphere inside...I would have thought this place would have been found in Brooklyn, NY. The chai was delicious and made to perfection. We took some pastries and cookies... More

Nothing but attitude just trying to get a cup of coffee, no reason to go back. Went in on a Sunday afternoon and there was a long line. No problem, we were queued up and there was a big sign saying “Line Starts Here”. I get to the register and tell her I want a double 12 ounce latte and... More

Whenever I visit Missoula, I start the day with a Breakfast Bagel at Break Espresso. It has ham and cheese baked in it. If you are not a bagel person, try any of their baked goods. They have a bake shop in back. Great coffee and service too.

The Break Espresso is simply a great place to have a good cup of coffee and something to munch on while surfing the net or studying. It is a wonderful spot right smack in the middle of downtown Missoula. The fare is simple but everything is cooked on the premises and is always delicious. I would highly recommend the coffee... We always stop at the break when we visit my brother and his family in Missoula. The strawberry rhubarb pie is a favorite. We each try to order something different so we can share. ;). I love the atmosphere and downtown location too. The Break is a must on your list of things to do in Missoula!

I loved the one night I showed up for coffee with my brother, and there was a live jazz band from the U playing the in corner! I would love more of that sort of scene to hang out in in the evenings. I have been to the Break several times for social chats, for getting work done when I... More
