This is my favorite breakfast place in Missoula. It's a quaint little restaurant that's always busy, but well worth the wait. I love their cheddar potato casserole, and the breakfasts come with a lot of high quality food. #2 breakfast is my go to. I've never tried the lunch offerings but guess they're good as well. They have fantastic coffee... More

Great coffee and great food, a hard to find combination. Finally found a breakfast place that rivals Goldies in Boise. Huge portions with a great variety on the menu.

Most breakfast places these days give you hash browns on the side, it's become so boring. This restaurant does a great job with what could be a boring typical potato side dish. The "potato casserole" is a great side with potatoes, cheese and who knows what else in it, but it's great. I made the mistake of ordering the green... More

We had the most amazing soup. Squash with creamy, subtle maple undertones. Salads are great, breakfasts are wonderful. I also enjoyed the art displayed in the restaurant for sale.

Spent the weekend in Missoula MT after a week in San Jose. The place was crowded - people lined up in the street! The host was great, worked the crowd and offered free coffee while they waited. Food was amazing - worth the wait! Unique, healthy and tasty. And the coffee ... best espresso in the USA! Liked it so... More

Catalyst has become the must-stop breakfast place for any friends or family coming through Missoula. A smaller storefront opens up to a welcoming atmosphere with seating on both the ground floor and loft. A humble menu with both classics and original dishes, it is difficult to go wrong. The basic order (The #1) is reasonably priced for a plate of... More

My husband had tomato soup with a veggie burrito. I had the fennel, beet and edamame soup with a half sandwich (seitan, tomato, and grilled onions on multigrain bun). Everything was SO DELICIOUS. Catalyst also has a nice atmosphere - light, open, lots of art by nearby artists on the walls. It's a bit loud, but that comes with the... More

This place is busy, don't get me wrong, but their meals are awesome. I've been there twice now on random stops through Missoula, and both visits have been excellent. They seem to get slammed here on weekends, so expect a wait, but the servers are super nice. The servings are massive... husband and I shared the chilaquiles and were both... More

Only open from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm this is a smaller restuarant with limited upstairs seating but worth any wait. The breakfast items are fresh and local and awesome. Also gluten free menu available. Friendly and good service.
