I enjoyed a $3 raspberry pale ale that I had never heard of that is at least as good as the Lindeman's raspberry lambec that costs 3 times that much. We had an excellent meal here and a wonderful dining experience. Our waiter Chris was fantastic and really made this a very memorable meal. We asked him for several recommendations (food and wine), and they all were spot on. Fantastic food and the exceptional service we received made this an exceptional night out.

Our last night in Missoula , we chose the Red Bird after walking into the marvelous hotel to check out the restaurant in the afternoon. Took my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner. Was well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive! The service was wonderful, the seafood sausage - very unique and delicious. Favorite spendy restaurant in Missoula - very unique and romantic atmosphere - but be prepared to spend some money! Decent amount of food though even considering the cost... its worth it for the atmosphere!

Our food was very good- had the lamb, the duck, the scallops and the Indian veggie dish. The beet salad was amazing and innovative. The wine selection was impressive. on the down side for me. very dark, tiny print on menu, kind of stark decor in bar area. the food however was superb. champagne fondue, i had pork chop(best ever) and wife had vegetarian dahl. molten chocolate cake was superb. very good meal. nice glasses of wine.
