Took my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner. Was well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive! The service was wonderful, the seafood sausage - very unique and delicious. Enjoyed the beet salad - it was so pretty - the lamb and scallops were so wonderfully prepared. We enjoyed the presentation of all the dishes and their wine menu was good.... More

Favorite spendy restaurant in Missoula - very unique and romantic atmosphere - but be prepared to spend some money! Decent amount of food though even considering the cost... its worth it for the atmosphere!

Our food was very good- had the lamb, the duck, the scallops and the Indian veggie dish. The beet salad was amazing and innovative. The wine selection was impressive. Our waitress, Leah, was on top of her game. Then we had dessert. Universally disappointed. The creme brûlée was tiny, pathetically inadequate. The hot chocolate lava cake was tasty but tepid.... Our party of three enjoyed the food, which was creative and good. Great wine menu, entertaining musician, and pleasant service.

When you check in to the Red Bird in the Florence Building, you step back in time. The 1930s/40s opulence abounds here. You are taken back behind the curtain to a hidden dining room that is very small and intimate. There is gold and blue wallpaper and a large retro chandellier in the center of the room. Every table or... More

This was my second venture to the wine bar at Red Bird. The food is excellent and locally sourced. The items on the wine bar menu are well designed and well composed. This visit included the Chef's Charcuterie selection, all made in house and made well. I also had the sirloin steak salad; the steak was perfectly seasoned (believe it... More

My husband and I shared bison shortribs with tenderloin stead with risotto- was perfect. Also had a chili relleno appetizer which was really good. My favorite is after dinner coffee which comes with real whipped cream, chocolate chips, cinnamon sticks and crystallized sugar sticks. It is so fun and such a treat.

I have been visiting the Red Bird since it opened years ago. There is a wine bar as well as a dining room, each with it's own menu which changes periodically and an expansive selection of wine as well as beer. Both the wine list and beer selection are varied and multi-national and are unique for Montana. The atmosphere is... More

Fantastic place in Missoula. The roast beef Chicago style is out of this world. The wine bar gives it a nice atmosphere, live music and friendly servers. Good luck with the next derby match Jesse.
