Great Italian food. Nice wine selection. Good service and good prices. Very helpful staff and seating was quick. Quaint and just all around great!
I'm not big on chain restaurants, but this one was one of the closest ones to my hotel. Service was attentive. Atmosphere was cozy. Food was quite good. I was impressed by the number of local beers available on tap. The place was quite busy, but the staff seemed to manage quite efficiently. Would not hesitate to return.
Picture five parents who have never met each other, and their three kids who have become friends during the first 2 months of college. It's Parents' Weekend, and game day, in Missoula and all the restaurants are crowded. JC's doesn't take reservations so I was picturing a l-o-n-g wait making small talk with strangers. But no! The soup and salad combo was great as was the fresh-baked bread. Good for a light late evening. Good service as well
Good food (tried a seafood/tilapia pasta dish and steak entree) with very good service. Server/waitress demonstrated the perfect balance of being helpful without being at the table too often. Restaurant was clean. Service was prompt. Portions were hearty. Football was on the television. :-) (We visited near closing time and still received a warm greeting from the host, as well... More
If you want poor service and long wait times, go for it. We left the first night we went there because there were children literally crawling over everything because it was kids eat free night. We tried again another night and arrived at a good time. The food was good and reasonably priced; but didn't make up at all for... More
We went to the restaurant in Missoula last evening for dinner on the way thru from Spokane to Great Falls, my son and husband ordered the pepperoni burger, first it was raw, this is after waiting for 45 minutes, when we complained to the manager, he was rude as well. They recooked the burgers and then burned them, they were... More
I've had the lasagna at this J Carino's and many others in the past. It's my favorite dish. But I'll be thinking twice before getting it again here. After bragging to my group of 15 about how awesome the lasagna is at Carino's, several in my group ordered it. I'm used to getting a piece that is about 4x6 inches... More
This was my second time to this Johnny Carino's. Today was for lunch. The prices are outstanding for what you get. I had an old standby, spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti was rather thick and the "gravy" (Italian for tomato sauce) was a little thin, and maybe just a bit too much for me, but probably not others. It came... More
