busy, good not great

Can be very busy. MT family style. Steaks are the specialty. Other dishes OK. Seafood can be a bit hit or miss. Excellent cuts and size of steaks. Full bar, cold beer. Has changed over the years, still good eats just not great most of the time. Good steak fingers and french dip and burgers served... read more

Being new to the area we went to dinner because all if our neighbors said to go. This place is over priced the steaks were very chewy. Service was just ok. We have been to much better places we were not to impressed.

Top quality food. Not your typical fancy steakhouse. Jeans and cowboy boots welcome here. Meal includes pickled veggie platter, salad and soup. If you are in the Bozeman area don't miss this place.

At least in my limited experience. I first ate at Sir Scott's in 2011, I'd driven out for a Yellowstone trip and was staying at a Mom'n'Pop motel in Bozeman waiting for my traveling buddy to fly in So I went down to the office to ask about local restaurants, got the usual about Ted's Montana Grill, etc. I told... This is a very popular local restaurant. We decided to have the 24 oz finger steaks and split them. They charge an extra $9 when you split a plate. We thought that was too much. I ordered jojos to go with mine and I sure was sorry. They are a slice of potato heavily breaded and not very tasty. I... More

Went with another couple for dinner. Relish tray on table to start. Simple dinner salad to start the meal. We all had tenderloin steaks as our entree. The food was delicious! Steaks were cooked to perfection. Ice cream or sherbet included with the meal. My only complaint is the lady that was the hostess all but kicked us out. We... More

Eight of us had a great dinner here last night. Excellent steaks and seafood! Everything is included free with the entrees. Don't forget the veggie plate appetizer or the chocolate sundae dessert (no other choices). This is an old favorite, but over the many (30-40?) years they expanded it. We like the older front room, with reservations. It is truly... More

This used to be one of our favorite places. Decided to stop by for breakfast on a Sunday and were seated and our order taken promptly. Then we waited for our food...and waited...and waited...and waited. Our server never said anything, made any apology, or even glance our way. After 45 minutes, and after two tables were served who came in... More

We stopped in for lunch while passing through on 90 and we were quite pleased. I had heard good things about the Oasis, even that it is worth the drive out from Bozeman and now I agree. Only one steak eater at our table and he was quite satisfied. The rest of us had lunch fare, sandwiches, etc., all good.... More

Steaks are the highlight here. Don't expect a wonderful salad, gourmet appetizers, delicious bread or great desserts. Just not happening here. The servers always seemed rushed and cranky. The drinks are pricey. Seating is cramped, and the atmosphere, well you're in Manhattan, MT not Manhattan, NY.
