Buffalo Done Right

A down home comfortable place to eat. Vintage western decor . The food was very good the portions were filling. I ordered the buffalo burger, with some reservation. When not prepared correctly the meat is dry and almost tasteless. The elkhorn has it down to a science prepared medium done just... read more

We tried the Prime Rib for dinner. It was thin and not much flavor. Tables were too close together and condiments were served in packets! Perhaps its ok for a burger and eat outside if weather permits

This small, woodsy cafe is clearly a favorite of locals. The owner was the chef when we returned for breakfast after trying the place for dinner. She makes her own baked beans, served as a side to the steaks. These are the best beans you've every tasted! If you're headed to or from Glacier National Park - this place is... More

We had buffalo burgers, and they were great, the place was packed and we had some wait time, but the service was good, the young man there was busy the whole time.

My husband and I ate at this restaurant one evening after leaving Glacier National Park. I ordered a salad with grilled salmon. It was fair. My husband ordered the prime rib. It was considerably under-cooked to begin with and he sent it back. They returned and it was cooked but it certainly was not a prime rib as one would... More

Great place to stop and eat. My mother and myself fell in love with the deserts. Oh my goodness..Huckleberry Carrot Cake is unbelievable. We had both the Huckleberry Cream Pie. We ate one of each at aElkhorn grill. Then took 2 to go. A midnight snack or a meal in itself.

I had the prime rib special. The meat was ok, but not as much flavor as I expected for it being their specialty. I was disappointed to find the potatoes were instant. There were a lot of flies inside. There was only one server for a busy Friday night. Probably would not return.

As far as restaurants go, this one is average, with average decor, and menu offerings. if you're in the area and you're hungry, I would suggest the Huckleberry Patch across the street.

Shared a table with a nice couple from Florida. Their hamburgers, fish and chips and shrimp were all very good. The Coconut Shrimp actually tasted like Coconut! Good service. Very busy too.

Small, order-at-the counter place for an elk burger. Unfortunately many of ours were overcooked and very greasy.
