Randy the owner introduced himself.

Excellent meal- I had filet mignon. Great service top quality food. Beer and Wine available--they sold the liquor license so no martinis for me.

We tried this restaurant because it was voted as the best burger in Helena. So far from the truth. The burger's are 1/4 and served on a bun meant for a real burger. Also, they charge $13 for these burgers because they put them on a fancy bun. The next day we ate at the Motherlode Casino and our daughter... More

We had delicious sandwiches for lunch. All were huge with large sides. No one left hungry. The historic setting is quite welcoming and all at a reasonable price.

This is a very good restaurant...not cheap..but the food and service are both very good. I had a burger and fries-delicious and my husband had prime rib with garlic-basil parmesan potatoes. I was able to get a rare burger-which was great and the fries are fresh cut. Have your dessert at Big Dipper across walking mall..as the desserts at Windbag... More

The food is consistently great ! The menu has a large variety of entrees from wonderful fish and steak meals to burgers. Thus, a wide price range to offered. This is one of Helena's most "colorful" historic sites (the "colorfulness" continued into the 1970's). It is well preserved and has pictures and information included in the decor. The bar recently... The Windbag is located on the Gulch, so it's a great place to stop for a meal. I recommend the salmon and the steaks.

Food was great, service excellent, atmosphere fun & lively and the history of the place (local folklore) added for good conversation. All the staff was friendly and quick with responding to requests. Wide selection of beers, wines and full bar. The food was very yummy, hearty portions and a good selection to choose from (from burgers, salads, soups, sandwiches and... More

Been here many times, special occasions, etc. Food isn't cheap, but large portions and borders on gourmet. High quality american dishes, great desserts, super bar. Very nice interior, can host large groups but get reservations dealt with, even has a separate area for a large private party. This is the place where locals go to have a very nice dinner.... More

In our recent visit to Helena , we were recommended that we visit this place for Burgers . We are very glad that we did. This place is somewhat hard to find at night and looks like it is in an area that has been redeveloped. We both had burgers with a bottle of wine . The steak fries were... More

Wife loves the pita pocket so we eat here fairly frequently. Warm and friendly atmosphere but historically old so don't expect a modern facility. Menu is varied and priced competitively. Burgers and fries are great.
