Great drive to a great destination!

We have been bringing our visiting friends and family here for years now. It's not so far away that it takes too long. But it is just far enough off the hwy. where you can enjoy the scenic drive. Our Steaks are always prepared as ordered and the waitstaff treat you like they care about your... read more

The location is great, view awesome, but pretty cluttered place...food was okay, salad bar fine, but steak I had was overpriced...and nothing fantastic. The waitress was fun and very helpful, but more like being in a home than a restaurant...unique experience for sure...

Our Prime rib, trout, shrimp, vegetables and even appetizer platter were all luke warm at best. Service lacked friendliness, not even a smile. No apology for the cold food.

The restaurant is run more like a home than a business. There's a fair amount of clutter around as you enter (inside and out). The food was mediocre -- at best. The one server was trying to accommodate everyone in the dining room and it was clearly too much for her. The cook came to our table to clarify our... More

We enjoyed our visit. The restaurant was clean the view was exceptional. The 7 miles up the Skalkaho was worth it. The food was good. My husband is disabled. Where we had to part so he could have access to the restaurant needed to be cleaned up.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out in the middle of nowhere! Very friendly staff, I think it was family owned and operated and they might even live right there. The food was very good, I had a NY Strip because they were out of Porterhouse or T-Bone steaks. Salad bar, local brews, everything you would expect to have at a steakhouse. I had stopped... More

Went here with family while visiting Hamilton MT. We were all very pleased with our meals, whether it was the filet, scallops or salmon. They were all wonderful dinners. Salad bar was adequate, loved the Huckleberry Vinaigrette Their Huckleberry Cheesecake is homemade and a must!!! PS: full bar and they really know how to make a great cocktail! Would most... More

We have lived in the valley for 14 years and had heard so much about the steakhouse! So finally for our 33rd anniversary my hubby made reservations for us to have dinner there!! The drive out was lovely and scenic, the view from the porch is amazing. I must say we totally enjoyed our meal, I had the NY strip... More

We were warmly greeted and seated next to a window where we watched the deer and the hummingbirds play. It was quite a drive to get there and since we had a couple of recommendations from locals to go there, we had great expectations. Unfortunately, not so much. The food was mediocre at best, and although I get the "country... More

I had prime rib that was awesome. My boyfriend had the sirloin, also awesome. He had the JoJo potatoes. OMG, they were good. I had mashed and gravy, which were good, but those JoJos... the Magic Carrots are quite tasty, too. And the hummingbirds. We ate outside and they were everywhere. What a wonderful dinner...I want to return. Now!
