Appearing to be under new ownership/management, the burger joint that once was Helen’s Corral no longer displays Helen’s picture on the wall nor offers elk burgers on the menu. Beef was a poor substitute, but OK as beef burgers go. Their presentation style has slipped a notch. Where burger was previous laid in basket assembled (tall and impressive when photographed),... We tried this based on the TA reviews where were mixed but we thought we would try it out. The service was BAD, as we waited 30 minutes for over cooked burgers, the fries were just like hard sticks and the milk shake that most reviewers liked was ice cream in a cup, melting. Also it was expensive for what... More

Nearly 30 minutes for 2 burgers with fries. Crazy. Food was fine, but considering it wasn't even very busy, I don't know what their problem is.

We stopped by here late for dinner. Everything was freshly prepared and tasty. The shakes were great! We ate in their nice outdoor seating on a beautiful evening. It is no longer Helen's and is now called the Wild West Corral Drive In.

Had a better meal here than st the more expensive restaurant we ate st last night. Good burger- bison or beef ( we had one of each). Great old- fashioned milkshake made from hard ice cream. Over supply of hot fries- consider sharing those. Lively, engaged counter staff. Would recommend it to anyone looking for this type of meal.

We were looking for a grab-and-go meal on the way to Yellowstone Park. The burgers were about $10 a piece and with fries and shakes we paid a lot for what we got. The order took too long to make and the fries were so greasy and limp nobody could eat them. The burgers were better than fast food but... More

Everything in these small resort towns is expensive...so be prepared. We had excellent buffalo burgers, fries, and shakes. You just have to try the buffalo burgers; they come in many different sizes to feed everyone. You can sit outside and enjoy the food.

This place had great burgers but like others have said it isn't cheap. I think for a family of four we probably paid about $45-50 and we had water no soft drinks! We found every restaurant in Gardiner to be expensive though so you won't be able to eat cheaply there!

Helen's was right down the street from where we were staying and we had heard it was kind of a famous staple in town so we headed over to eat. It was good, we both had burgers and both enjoyed them! The fries were alright, nothing spectacular, but they were still good. It seemed a little pricey to us considering... More

This is a fun little place that serves up typical drive-in food. We ate here a couple times when we stayed in town, and it was a treat to sit outside and watch the wildlife (deer and elk mostly) wandering around town. Food is tasty and staff is very friendly and helpful. Good overall value. It's worth the stop.
