The original owner passed away a couple of years ago, and "Helen's" is now called Wild West Corral. Burgers are still hand-made and juicy, with real lettuce, tomato & raw onion. The main change is the price: a simple burger is $6.75, with addition toppings available: cheese (75c), bacon ($1), grilled onions or mushrooms (75c). Add fries and you're adding... More

A great burger. Really, really great burger. That's it. A couple of tips: You will wait. The burgers are prepared fresh, they are thick, and they rest before serving as they should, it takes a bit. Do not wait in your car. Come on out. It will take a while, and you're in Gardiner. Enjoy. Sometimes you don't get what... More

We stopped here for dinner after a long day in Yellowstone due to the positive reviews. I found it overrated, expensive, and disappointing. It is not a drive-in. It is a walk-up. You would be waiting a long time for service if you stayed in your car. I ordered a corn dog - just one corn dog with nothing else... More

I've passed through Gardiner three times and always stop for a burger at this place. It doesn't look like much but the burgers and sweet potatoe fries are just delicious. Great ice cream as well! The name of this place has changed to the "Wild West Corral" and it is on the left as you exit town toward Livingston.

This place may have had a different name when we were there - Wild WEst Corral perhaps? - but I see from the Trip Advisor site it is the same place. Regardless, this is a must stop for a great burger. We tried the beef, buffalo and elk burgers. Very tasty - and I am a burger connoisseur. Ironically it... More

We stopped here for evening ice cream. The service was a little slow, and the ice cream was okay. Nothing special. There aren't very many ice cream flavors to choose from, but if you love ice cream, check this place out!

We had buffalo burgers and fries. The burgers, which were hand formed, were well done with a nice crispy edge. The flavor was good and we really enjoyed the meal.

Avoid if you can for the following reasons: 1) bad burger: They DONT ask you if you want medium rare, medium well, it's all well done! When I asked, the associate told me:" it's fast food, HAS to be well done!" 2) bad service: I asked to go and catch up on the side. When I picked up the food,... More

Love a good burger, and this was a pleasant surprise for a little hole in the wall drive-in. Looked like mom and the kids running the place, and they did a great job. Go!
